Huck is still eating pellets, hay, cilantro, lettuce (not iceberg but the darker, leafier kind, idk the tech name for it) but she will not touch collard greens anymore. She just stopped, suddenly. I imagine she is bored with them because she gets them every day because she used to eat them first and seemed to love them.

Any ideas? Any concern that this is anything more serious than just boredom?

I might be concerned if she stopped eating all her greens, or all her hay or all her pellets but not just one item.

I would suggest though trying to add some different greens to her diet and mix them up to get a better balance of nutrition and alleviate boredom. I don’t actually know if rabbits get “bored” with foods, but I know I do so I imagine they might be the same way.

Lola does the same thing with collards and beet tops. I just don’t think they are her favorites. This morning she ate all her dandelion leaves and kale and picked out the beet tops and threw them to the side. I mix up her selection every time I have to buy new veggies and she always acts the same way with those 2 vegetables without fail….

Honestly, if she is eating everything else I wouldn’t be concerned. Huck probably just knows that he is spoiled and can be picky.

Rabbits are picky I agree with Sarita-if she stopped eating all veggies (or pellets, or hay) then worry. But losing a taste for one veggie is just so bunny-ish I’m sure with some time of not having any it will become a favorite again.

Ugh, just when I settle into a routine with her, she has to mix things up on me! Lol thanks all!

Mine do this all the time. One minute that love something and gobble it like there’s no tomorrow. The next minute they turn their noses up at it. I would just try some new stuff and see if there is something else she will take a liking to.

Haha I’m sure Huckles is just trying to keep your life interesting .

I wouldn’t be too worried as long as she’s still gobbling up everything else.

Ahh, picky rabbits. Mine all decided spinach was icky now They leave the spinach on their plates lol. And Squirrel decided he only likes curly endive, parsley, and Radicchio, the little punk

I wouldn’t be concerned unless she stops eatign everything, it could be that batch just doesn’t have the flavor she likes

I have to laugh at this post, not at you but your buns!

All three of my Tans just decided this week they were rejecting collard greens too! They have been tossing it out of their salad bowls onto the floor and leaving it there for me to find the next morning… and clean up. So we have switched to mixed greens for now. Until they decide to hate something else in their mix. LOL

Such picky little divas. It’s a bun thing.

ROFL! It really is a bun thing, I guess.
