        Howdy!

I’m a newbie here and my gorgeous 9 week old mini lop Teddy has been adjusting very well, almost toilet trained and I can let him through the whole house with no problems (I live in the city so our apartment is tiny

However I can’t find anything for him to play with that keeps his interest for more than a minute?!

        I’ve tried;

        • Toilet rolls filled with hay/treats
        • Brown paper bag filled with hay
        • Strips of newspaper from the ceiling of his cage (like a jellyfish – if that makes sense)
        • Wicker basket – he just sits in it
        • A Towel
        • Plastic things to chew on
        • Wood Chews
        • Lots of boxes to climb in, with multi levels, hidey holes etc
        • Tunnels to crawl through

He loves to go exploring but I just don’t know how to keep him entertained? I will note that there was a plastic bag with a dress under my bed that he kept crawling over – but I took it out and now he ignores it.

He is a complete nutter for food, which is why he is so easy to train but I feel like he needs more stimulation

He does the bunny 500 often – but no binkys yet…

I feel like a bad bun mum

Your bun is still pretty young and is probably still getting to know you and his surroundings. The fact that you’ve offered him all these toys is a very good thing. Even if he’s not interested in them, doesn’t mean he’s bored. I don’t think Cinnabun actually started to play with her toys until after she had been with me a few weeks. Everything was still too new. It sounds like you’ve provided for Teddy!! Just let him come to the toys on his own. One additional toys that is a big hit with some buns is a set of plastic keys, like you get for babies. Cinnabun loves to toss hers.

          PS: Teddy is so cute!

If he likes exploring maybe get him some tubes or tunnels? CB is right, it usually takes a while for them to adjust to the new home – and then a little longer to play with toys. Ruby loves plastic cat toys like a little cylinder with a bell in it. She’ll just pick it up and toss it around.

You are far from a bad bunny momma, don’t worry! He’s got all he needs to be entertained, it seems to me like he’s just distracted by other things at the moment.

get the little plastic cat-balls with a bell inside,, put that inside the paper towel tube, then at each end poke 2 small holes and stick a broken off piece of willow stick thru them to keep the ball from falling out.
anything that makes noise and annoys YOU in the middle of the night,, they will love.
