        Hello all!

        I got Teddy – my beautiful mini lop last week and I absolutely love him

        I have found your forum so helpful so I thought I would jump on and say hi! Especially because I’m new to buns and learning lots

        Little bit about me – Im Sammy, I live in Edgecliff in Sydney Australia

        Little bit about Teddy – He is 9 weeks old and an absolute darling. He is a houdini and will do anything to get on the couch…loves the smell of meat and people food…incredibly intelligent (already mastered sitting up and will ‘come’ 90% of the time). Almost toilet trained – still getting there with the lounge and the bed….

        Quick question – Does anyone know what colour he is? I love his colour but I’m not sure what it is? Im thinking lilac torte or even lynx?

        Once again – big thanks to everyone for their informative posts and looking forward to being a part of the happy binky bunny community!!

        Sammy xxx

          A big welcome to you both. Teddy is a great name for him, he looks just like a big, snuggly teddy bear!!!! Not sure about the name of that colouring, it`s beautiful, though. Looking forward to hearing more about Teddy and seeing more pics.

              Welcome to BB!! I’m not sure about the name of his colour – but I’m with LPT – he really does look like a little teddy bear. I want to mush him

              Among the tricks he’s learned, he seems to have mastered the bunny disapproval face already as well

                He is very cuddly too…will always come and jump on my lap and crawl up onto my neck bit (very cute)

                Floppybuns – I love your new buns! They are so gorgeous…regarding teaching them tricks (I’m used to dogs so I like them trained – my bunny is the same too) I read alot of different blogs for tips but heres my tricks;

                Sitting up – I train Teddy when I wake up for about 15-30 mins and again at night (just before feeding time) I use pellets as he is crazy for them. Just get their attention with it and then hold it slightly above their head (i say “Teddy Up”) – that way they get used to the gesture and the vocal command – and usually they will sit up to reach the treat!

                Come – I started very close to Teddy (at first without treats at all) and I tap where I want him to go (either on the floor on front of me or on my lap etc) and say “Teddy Come” and when he gets there I use lots of praise and patting and now a pellet. He is up to 90% and it is VERY useful as this morning he wandered under the bed, which I dont like and I called him and he came straight out

                Next on my list – Bunny Soccer!

                Then – The Olympics!
