Oh, BunnyDaddy! I'm so excited and happy for you! INCREDIBLY EXCITED! I'm so happy you choose to let another little bunbun (possibly TWO!) grab your heart and give them amazing forever homes!! So insanely excited for you! And can't wait to see more pics of these two!
Which shelter did you end up going too?!? The West Penn one has some absolute GORGEOUS ones in their right now! I'm constantly stalking their websites.
Goodness, That big mane of hair! She's an absolute beauty!
I'll deff be posting more photos once they're home and I'm getting them from Action For Animals Humane Society in Latrobe, we were told that no one ever comes to see the buns, we're the first in AT LEAST a year and a half to show interest in them. My mom was the one to suggest getting her partner, I think she felt bad because they're in outdoor hutches. She is VERY pretty, and calm too! The howling dogs didn't even make her flinch. I held her the first time and just looked at my dad and said "Mom is gonna love her." haha |

Awww, that's so sad! It's so nice to see one or two of those bunnies going to a good home then! I've never heard or looked them up - I'll have too sometime in the future! One of my friends wants a bun but I'm not going to give her any direction until she does a good amount of research and understands what a commitment a bun bun is. Luckily, my boyfriend and I are willing to put in the work and time with our babies but I can see why so many people get them thinking they're not a lot of work - they are DEF a lot of work and energy. But I wouldn't have it any other way! But some people would... |

I know, right? And I've never heard of them either, I just searched "Rabbits for adoption" in my area, and their ad on petfinder showed up. And the work pays off for cute little bunnies. |

I have a few photos to share, not bunnies, but puppies!
"Well you said you were cold, so we'll curl up on your chest and arm so you can't use the computer or move."

This has actually happened before, last week. Only their mother joined in.

Also, my nephew's head is in the corner, he saw the puppies and camera and decided to photo bomb. |

For my 1,000th post (geez...really?) here are some Cinnabun pics!
Hanging out in her hidey box

Begging for snuggles on the couch

I was obviously in "need" of a bunny on the shoulder, so Cinnabun obliged.

Ok so I'm finally back. Life has been insane and I don't have time to read the post so I'm sorry if I'm interrupting a conversation but i wanted to give an update with some pictures. Ok so the mold turned out to not be mold, the three normal babies are fine and healthy but i haven't found them homes yet, the runt has only grown a tiny bit so I'm gonna try and get her to the vet, and i tried to do a bonding session with thump and oreo and a horrible fight broke out but I'm not surprised since it's the first one and there both head strong rabbits. ok Now for pictures like i promised like two weeks ago lol
Ok so is it just me or does the runt look odd? she is the black one. I feel like she almost looks like a netherland dwarf or a half peanut thing. |

I wouldn't be able to tell for sure but she looks a lot like Ruby did when she was a baby, and she's a netherland dwarf. That was until she was about 2 months old. |

Maybe that's what thump and Oreo are mixed with. Maybe they are dutch and Netherland dwarf. Its so funny how much the runt is the spitting image of Oreo. down to every detail and the other three look nothing like their parent but all three of them have thumps personality |

I have no clue they might have some Himalayan in them. But does anyone think that the runt looks like something might be wrong with her? |

Hi NikitaSue.... Your little runt has some Marten in her and will most likely stay smaller than the others. You will find thjat her coat will get quite balck and glossy where it is currently as little grey and floofy. My Pepper is a silver marten and currently the smallest of the whole family despite being the matriarch and alpha bun. She produced 3 martens of her own in her 2 oops litters and just like their Mother they were smaller than the rest who look very much like yours. Their father Piglet is a white french angora with pale himalayan points too so I had quite a variety of colours and hair lengths. It still wouldn't hurt for all the babies to have a vet check for their sake as well as your sanity but I believe you will find she just has the genes from the smaller breed. Especially if she is eating well, pooping normally and does not feel skinny. |

OK.. If you can clearly feel bones and her skin is loose then she needs fattening up. How old are they now ? Are they completely weened ? Are they getting unlimited pellets and hay ? Being smaller she might have missed out on some milk during feeds. Definitely worth a trip to the vet to have it checked.
Martens or Silver Martens are a funny breed, they tend to be a surprise in Angora, Chinchilla and Cashmere litters but were so popular they made them a breed in 1924.

She looks perfect <3 The lighter ones have such delicate shading at this stage. But the one on the right in first couple of pics...i think I can see some dutch markings? You can just see white blaze and white behind shoulders. I wonder what the colour will develop to be. It looks a bit like a smoke pearl. |

@Cinnabunmom, that pic of you two cracks me up. It's like you squeezed into one of those photo booths together. Toady, the girls are so pretty! Do you know roughly what size they'll grow to be? |

Jerseygirl, not sure how big they'll grow but think they'll be little bunnies as Thee is about 750 grams and Seph is 975 g and they're 12 weeks old. Hard to believe in just over a month the girls will be going in for their spay |

And no I haven't been able to do an supplementing with the runt. I'm still not sure what to give her. And yea everyone is weaned. I wanted to hold off the weaning but what oreo says, goes. I'm also a tad scared something is wrong with her just cause oreo had trouble giving birth to her. She was the biggest newborn (ironic i know) and oreo gave birth to three in like two min and then the runt didn't come til fifteen min later. I didn't even know there was a fourth. I'm just scared she was in there too long and that like messed her up or something. |

Definitely looks like a marten to me. Lovely bun bun! I had read its not unusual for there to be a gap in the birthing. This happened with Maple also. I remember reading it somewhere afterward. Sometimes the runts end up growing bigger then their siblings. It's just slower to start with. If she's able to access the food with no trouble i'd expect she'll start to grow normally. Maybe chat with some people with lots of experience? A local breeder or even a shelter that's dealt with litters. |
