Hi Hazel, I usually download it via Vuze as it will be weeks or months before we get on TV down here (and I don't have cable or satellite) Absoluetly crushed that they have split the Warehouse 13 Season 4 but atleast I will have The Walking Dead and Haven. |

LOL I could not stop laughing when the walking dead got mentioned because my boyfriend is right now watching all of them on OnDemand. He just found it tonight and is in love with it. This conversation has been so interesting. I just found it today and read the whole thing. I'm so happy I found this site. And the BF thinks its "adorable" that I'm on here all the time but he has no room to talk since he is obsessed with Ford Forums LOL. I really wish I could let thumper and Oreo out of the cage but the place we live right now is so small so we have no room to put lots of stuff and its super cramped. I can't wait til we have a new place and then I'm gonna ask him for an extra room for our buns. I've been litter training oreo which has been harder than I thought. I was spoiled because thumper was so easy. I literally just put the litter box in there and he started going in it. I have to say I'm hating my first semester of college. I'm not surprised by this though because I hated high school. But I just gotta get through it. |

Just read on Facebook, this awful woman that I hid (and just defriended, actually) because I don't agree with her life on many levels, posted "We just had a Prince sighting! That's our bunny who ran away two months ago. H and the boys just saw him in our neighbors yard being chased by a cat." and when told by others she should catch it, she put "This is awful but I don't really want him back. I'm severely allergic. My allergies have been sooooo much better since he left. And he seems happy living the life of a wild bunny. If I did catch him I'd find him a new home. After two months in the wild he'd be a terrible pet (he kind if was before)" She also just got a dog after "accidentally" letting Prince run off, and shes complaining about him and re-homing him after a month. |

Omg that person sounds just like the person that owned Thumper and Oreo before they were with me. She finds pets off of craigslist and then two days later don't care about them at all. She let her four kids treat the buns how ever they wanted. I really hate that women and my cousin that lives in the apartment below her is contently trying to fix her bad mistakes. (thats how I got Thumper and Oreo) I try to tell her to ignore her because it will never get better but I know she can't because she is like me. She can't not help. |

Zoologist - I don't have anything at the bottom of my turtle's tank and I feel so bad! He just has a castle and some fake plants, his floating docks & of course filter, heater. I used to have rocks but it was incredibly difficult keeping them clean. Wasn't bad when he was able to be in a small tank, I had it decorated so nicely! So I really want him to have a pretty tank now especially since I just got his new filter. I was looking into some sand, but how would you clean that? I looked online about it and most people suggest siphoning it into a bucket, another suggested putting a pillow case in a bucket, filling it up with sand and then taking it to a tub to rinse through the pillow case? Have you found a method you prefer? I'm also going to get him a new floating dock. I like the floating logs or petsmart has a lily pad one that I really liked. I'd also like to build him a canopy like you did with the plexi glass. I think if I did though, I wouldn't be able to use the light his tank came with. It fits across the top of the tank & I'm not sure how to configure it to where I can still use it. I actually got my tank off craigslist while trying to sell my new $100 bike. I was trying to save up money for a new tank and a guy emailed me wanting to trade his tank for my bike xD Great deal! I hate when people do stuff like that! They just should not have pets in the first place. Can't believe how careless some people are with pets sometimes I hate going on my friend's side of town because every time, I see all these stray dogs one after another and they all just look so sad! I always imagined running my own shelter and bringing different animals in Wish I would be able to someday but not sure if I could ever reach it. I know it would be really difficult to do as well, just would love to see these abandoned pets well cared for and off the streets. |

Hi Mimzy, Have you tried a tank/gravel vacuum, if it was course sand the vac should just pick it up spin it around in the opening and drop it as you move on. (Tank vacuum is a syphon system. Its got a wide tube with a scoop shaped mouth at one end and a smaller hose for out put. You shake the thing up and down in the tank to get it going then run it through the gravel and sand. |

Not yet, I've actually never had sand before & any rocks I used, I made sure they weren't too tiny for him to swallow (he bites at anything I put in there ) I think I really want to try sand though, sounds like it might be a good idea. I only have a siphoner, just a regular manual one. So I'll probably be looking for a new one |

Roberta: That's nice that you get to watch it online! I haven't watched any Haven or Warehouse 13, but they sound interesting from what I've read.
I hope Carl mans up a little bit this season, I couldn't stand him in season 2... But I guess when you look at Ricks and Loris parenting skills it shouldn't be surprising how he turned out
Have you seen this? It's awesome!

Yeah, you can't use gravel with turtles or they'll eat it and become impacted and die. you're only supposed to use rocks bigger than their heads, or sand, or nothing! I'm jealous your turtle doesn't tear up her tank. I used to have fake plants in mine but Torti would rip them up and they'd becoming floating plants by the end of the day. Now I just have a fake log, a fake alligator skull, and a bubbling volcano. oh and a headless t-rex that sits on her basking dock. Don't use any sand that says "do not use for aquariums or ponds". I learned the hard way that it's a mess. I used the sand used to level ground before laying down stones and it was so fine and silty that it went right through my filter, and was constantly being kicked up by the turtle and making the tank look awful. Now I use crayola sand for sand boxes. It comes in different colors... I have blue I put the sand in a 5 gallon bucket and washed it outside with a hose. my filter took care of the rest (hence the massive amount of fine mesh pads) Here's my photobucket album of Torti from when I put her in a 29 gallon tank to her 50 gallon tank. I don't have any pictures of her current set up, i'll have to take some. you can see the progression from when I put the sand in and how it cleared up in a few hours. http://s277.photobucket.com/albums/kk46/stickyturtle27/torti/ |

As thanks Zoologist I just saw your second post. But for the life of me I can't get Skipper to eat pumpkin. I'be flippin' tried everything and she's just a little drama queen about it. She seems to be a little bit better though today. Just crossed fingers that she stays that way since this weekend is moving weekend. Svandis good luck on the vet appointment! I hope Bosse feels better! Mites and/or fleas are never fun. FF that is too cute! Did you and the bf go ahead and name the little girl Sweets? I would ask for a refund. That's expensive to have nothing get done. And I understand about the long drive. We go an hour out to see our vet. I hope she gets better from the possible mites! I know my vet had actually said that it takes less Revolution to kills mites than it does to kill fleas. |

The boyfriend and I are on our last straw with the walking dead. Season two was soooooooo boringgggg. They better ramp up the zombie killings and get off that stupid farm or I think we're going to drop the show. Also, all of the women need to die and Carl needs to stay in the ^#($*&@ house!!! |

My husband watched a couple episodes of Walking Dead. Then he realized the plot was very soap opera-ish and decided he hated it and didn't want to watch it after that. He hates anything that resembles a soap opera, so there aren't a lot of prime time shows that he watches. Does anyone watch Copper? I like that show, but I have to go in the bedroom to watch it. |

I litterally loled!! He never does, does he? And still, that's always the first place they look for him
Don't worry LBJ10, that love triangle doesn't last forever.
(Nothing really does, so hang in there, zoologist!! How far did you get with the second season?)

SM- I call her "sweets". Play on the name "Sweetie" that the shelter gave her. I just can't get a feeling for any of the names to fit her. I call her lots of terms of endearment, pumpkin, pumpkin pie, sweets, sweetie, baby girl. But she reacts the same to all of them. Even Amelia Earhart which is so cute! I kinda like "sweets" because I like the character from bones, well not as much as I like booth, but sweets is a good character too... OH BTW, I went with Donna to rescue a pot-belly pig today Small one that was going to be killed. We transported her to great lakes who will put her up for adoption since all their pigs are already in a pack. Nothing like an adventure to start the week |

Oh LBJ I like Copper! I just have to catch up since I am so far behind. >.< I got real distracted by Downton Abbey and power watched that show. I am so excited for the new season to start in January. =D FF that's so cute! =] That's so cool that you could save a pig. I've always wandered what it would be like to have pig as a pet. Skipper seems better today. =] Man did the poor girl have some funky bad gas yesterday. I really wish I knew what had caused it. She was so silly this morning. All she wanted to be was petted and kept nudging my hand to pet her. =p She's a total crack up. Speaking of silly pets. Willow our fat tubby bipolar cat was climbing the screen of our porch to get to a squirrel that was on the other side of it. xD |

She was cute. And potty trained. But I'm not sure I would have one. You would have to have a farm. She has a bright future with lots of possible adopters. She was at an animal control and a volunteer leaked that they said her time was up so you know that got the rescues all riled up to save her. I'm actually doing a lot with the rescue right now- well more than I used to. And I feel like a nerd but I'm totally excited... I get to be their new photographer. I got the camera and everything I need. Now I just need an assistant to keep an eye on the buns... hmmm ANDY?! lol he doesn't know this yet. And I'll be doing petfinder updates to help and she said I could update the website (it needs it). Yay! |

TV's a wasteland down under at the moment. We are heading for the off ratings period. Mostly Sport Sport Sport and Motor Sport. There will be a few new shows screened in the next few weeks but they'll end before Xmas. Right now if it wasn't for the reruns of MASH etc I would only switch it on twice a week. Oh and they have restarted Happy Days "Again" have actually seen several episodes with Richie and Joanies mysterious big brother Chuck (who disappears early in the first season only to be mentioned briefly in the final season - something about outer mongolia) |

O.o So I some how lost everything I just typed. FF I'm glad you're having fun! It sounds like a total blast! I really wish I could help out with a rescue. LoveChaCha I honestly don't know what to think about "Elementary". I can't wrap my head around the idea of a female Watson. I've picked my usual shows again: Revenge, Once Upon a Time, and How I Met Your Mother. The bf and I had started Go On and really like it. We've fallen behind a bit and need to catch up though. FooFoosMommy i actually like Animal Practice. A little House-ish but not bad.I'm kind of waiting to see how the story develops some more. So I got a funny text this morning. The bf and I had talked it over about a month ago that we weren't going to get another bun until maybe Jan./Feb. time. I wanted to get one earlier. Maybe closer to Dec. Well, this morning I get the funniest text from him saying he wants another bun now. xD He cracks me up so much. I would be honestly fine with getting another bun in early Dec. So that way we can bond with him for a few weeks before trying to bond him and Skipper. I have the whole month of Dec. off so it would be a good time to try the process. |
