Hi everyone! I have been lurking around the website for awhile, and more recently created an account.  I figured that now is a good time to introduce myself and my bunny.

I have been a bunny mom for about 4.5 years now.  My first bunny, Marbles, was a total sweetheart... when she wanted to be (which was when there was something in it for her).  The rest of the time she was off getting into trouble. She meant the world to me and I was utterly devastated when I lost her (four months this day).  Brought her in because she wasn't eating and had been lethargic, and next thing I know I'm staring at an x-ray of her enlarged heart and told she was having organ failure... I'm still not sure what happened.  She was only 4 years old. I still miss her terribly and would give anything to have her back.  Here's my girl:

Fast forward a bit and now I have another lil' girl.  Luna is a 7 week old lop x dwarf.  She is a sweet, affectionate, and curious.  She's super active, and loves to run around and binky.  Her favourite food so far seems to be carrot stems.

Recently, one of her ears dropped.  Still waiting on the other one to fall.  Though if it doesn't, she's still friggin' adorable.

I am absolutely thrilled to be a bunny mom again.  I look forward to getting to know her and watch her grow.

 Thanks for listening!

And hello to you fom Winnipeg as well!! Congrats on being a bunnymom again, she looks like a sweetheart.

As you're no doubt aware, the emergency animal hospital here doesn't deal with rabbits. Well, not really anyway. They have 1 vet on their rotation that will see rabbits but there's no guarantee that vet is going to be working any given evening/weekend. We were fortunate enough to stumble upon a great bunny vet during the August long weekend when Carbun was sick and our regular vet closed for the weekend. If you'd like I can give you their name/number - I don't know if posting it is allowed or not. But they're open 6 days a week, open at 7am weekdays and have evening hours 2 nights a week.
Pet Parents to: Aeryn, Tegan, Keelie, and Kaylee (bunnies); Harley, Sierra and Ringo (cats); Dakota (dog). We miss our Rainbow Bunnies: Keiran, Kylie, Reno, Carbun, and our boy Bailey.

Thanks everyone! I feel so welcome =)

I would love that number if you could pm me! Or the info of any other decent rabbit vet. I don't want to bash mine, but i am not too thrilled with the vet i have for a number of reasons.

Vet info has been sent to both of you! Memarie, what area of town are you in? We've been quite pleased with our regular vet office, although there is one vet at the practice that I would NOT leave any pet with.
