        Hello,

I’m Floppy and I have a beautiful light brown Dutch bun named Sophie. She’s very energetic and loves to chew but I just can’t seem to find a toy that entertains her. I have given her one of those plastic colorful balls with a bell inside, I’ve given her many different items to chew on but she just picks them up, puts them to the side and then walks away. I don’t know what to do, I don’t want her to get bored. Can anyone please tell me what I could give her to play with?

Does she have cardboard boxes? If your bun is a chewer, cardboard is the first place I’d start. Cardboard boxes, toiler paper rolls, paper towel rolls…ect. Plus, cardboard isn’t dangerous if your bunny ingests it.

I ditto both Cinnabun and Elizabeth — my destructive little babies LOVE their cardboard boxes especially when they can climb in and out and chew. Another item that my buns DESTROYED was an old phone book. They’ll spend hours just tearing off the pages one by one and tossing them over their shoulders. Hahaha.

One of my favorite tricks is to put the phone book under a box. When they go into the box their digging instincts kick in and they will DESTROY the phone book.

SnakShak logs are WONDERFUL for chewers and as CinnabunMom stated, papertowel and toilet paper tubes are great… especially when they are stuffed with treats! I love to pack cilantro in to a toilet paper tube and toss it to the buns – it provides them with mental stimulation and you with lots of laughs!
