Sylvester (boy) lets me scratch him on his nose (well, between his eyes, you know what I mean), he has his cautious moments (hes only around 3-4 months), but he is adventurous a lot of the time, but he has just started this weird behaviour. When I put my hand in there he runs at my hand, bites (reasonably hard- not blood or anything ), and then jumps off... He did it like 3 times within about half an hour... I don't know if he thought I was putting a carrot or something into his house, or if he was being aggressive

Anyone's advice would be hugely appreciated, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You said "in there" so I'm assuming in his pen/cage?
It sounds territorial, even the best behaved bun can be particular about us humans getting in their space. I don't go in Lady or Sams pen unless they are out because I don't want them to feel intruded upon.

My little boy who just turned 7 months actually does this ALL the time. And then sometimes he'll let you do it for like 10 minutes in pure bliss. Whenever ours does it he seems to be in hyper/fiesty mode so for my bun I think it's more playful and hyper than aggressive. He nips lightly when he's REALLY full of it. If he's nipping to the point where it hurts just make a loud screeching noise so he knows it hurts you and turn your back to him. That helped with my buns with their baby nips and/or we tried pressing his head down when the other one started and he stopped pretty much instantly.

It's pretty common for rabbits to be territorial of their cages, especially when they're going through puberty. Just let him come out of the cage before you try to clean or do things in it.

tanlover14, I think thats the case with my guy... Because whenever he does it he jumps around like a little grasshopper afterwards! He doesn't knip hard, just enough to feel it...

Hi, Sarahjean,

Welcome. I don't know how to do this for you, but you need to resize your signature photo to 100x500. I have a great little resizing program, so I have taken the liberty of saving your very cute pix and resizing it. I am posting the right size version for you here. You can just save it and replace what you have with it, unless BB comes along and resizes your siggy directly.

I just changed the size directly in the html code. But Pam's advice is great if you want to ever upload another photo. (Though this one is VERY cute!)
