I’ve heard that bunnies only sleep like that when they’re VERY relaxed (playing dead), so you’re very lucky to have such a chill bunny! Mine only gets to about a side flop, with his two front paws straight but his two back legs on one side.

ETA: I just noticed your cage setup. Using a bedsheet like that is a brilliant idea!

Both of my bunnies lay like this….

One of them even licks the cage floor while in this position. Heheh

Foo sleeps like this pretty often. It’s a good sign that your bunny is relaxed and happy.

Yep, that is a very relaxed bunny! Adorable, isn’t it?

thanks! callie sleeps in the weirdest positions! i’ve read that when rabbits lay on their stomachs with their back legs straight back they’re very relaxed, but i never saw anything about this!

aylnine, i line my rug under her pen with wee wee pads and put a bed sheet over them. i always did the sheets because cosie liked to pull up the rug, but added the wee wee pads when she started becoming incontinent. callie is perfectly litterbox trained now, so i’ll be going back to sheet only soon.
