so my husband and i were on our couch and he was ordering pizza online. when all of a sudden the THREW the laptop on me seized up and started sliding off the couch. me screaming "whats wrong" because the only read i could get off his face was sheer pain and terror. the bunny way FREAKING out because i was screaming.. when my husband was sliding off the couch he knocked over the coffee table. broken glass everywhere. Mark was finally able to say his legs were hurting. BOTH of his hamstrings seized at the same time in an instant. and he couldnt move. after i established what had happened i ran in to the bathroom and threw all our towels into the shower and turned on the cold water.. bringing them out and draping them over him water alllll over our house from these sopping wet towels. by then the doorbell is ringing the pizza dude is out there. so i had to leave mark and get that dealt with. came back and was finally able to get him back on the couch. and elevate his legs.
i gave him a couple of my tylenol 3's and hes out cold.
updates as things progress..
the first time is happened in his left leg. i called an ambulance and got him to the hospital. he has a very physical job. the doctors said is was from lack of sleep... he doesnt give his body time to heal. and i keep trying to get him to take his pills so he can get to bed early but he wont.
this one was most unusual because he's never had BOTH go at the same time. freaked me right out.. hes knocked out now and ive been feeling his muscles and they've relaxed. if they're tight again tomorrow come sunrise im taking him in. he doesnt have a choice.. hes so stubborn with his "macho" man-ness and never wants to go to the hospital. but im not living through this ever again.
he's doing well... his legs have still been a little tight and he gets those moments of "omg its gunna happen again"
but i think we're in the clear.
