Thanks monkey and LBJ.

Isabella, that is awful I would have left too without buying anything, I hate when stores mistreat their animals like that.

Tanlover - haha he is just supervising

Hi Stickerbunny Welcome back!
Good to hear your Grandmother is doing well. I remember you were pretty concerned before.

RIP Jasmine. You must be very intune with her. Its lovely she was so settled having you there when you visited. thats pretty special. : )

@ Roberta: thanks for that link. I've been thinking of something for insect control. Small flies at the moment but Mossies on the rise.

@ Robyn: I'm glad you said something! Thank you. Our RSPCAs basic terms are an animal must be provided with food, water, shelter. Definitely reportable if they didn't have even water. : (. I avoid stores I know have animals. I'm just too easily effected now. Today though, i had to go into one that I knew had rabbits. They were in those little aquariums that are installed into the wall. Completely stupid!

Poor little bunnies. =(

I've been sleepy all day. I wonder if they took too much blood yesterday. It was 5 vials. Seems like a lot. Doesn't look like I'll hear anything this week. Maybe next week.

Now I need to figure out how to focus on my homework. I need to write about 8 pages and I can't seem to get started.

I'm so sorry LBJ! I can understand about being sleepy. Are you anemic? If you are then it can really make you tired if they take that much. Having a great big juicy steak will help with your iron. =] Or if you don't like meat, spinach really helps. =]

LoveChaCha were they the dehydrated ones from Target? I get a bag of strawberries for Skipper. And I tried a bag of apples for her once but she didn't like them so I ended up eating them. xD It cracks me up though she loves apple sauce but won't touch the dehydrated apples.

IsabellaRobyn: How could anyone do that?!?! just totally ignore the fact that they had 4 rabbits that were thirsty and neglected!!! Were they pets or for adoption? Cause i kinda hope they were for adoption...maybe somebody NICE will take them!

Stickerbunny - i'm sorry, i never saw your post! I'm SO happy that your grandma is doing so well - it sounds like she has a good attitude about it =)! I'm sorry about your dog, but i'm also happy that she had such good people for her!

So Snowflake is doing much better now that she gets out more often. Now she keeps hopping up on my trundle...aka my 2nd closet (haha/grr). I'm always worried that she'll leave a present.
Also, now she's getting a lot stronger...gave me a hard time with la grooming a day or two ago, but you guys know how that goes =)! Also i had her 'sit up' and she was much more balanced - i think her bad leg is strengthening too!
This is all so awesome! and it might never have happened if i hadn't found BB!!!! =D

Robyn - that's so sad & I hate going into pet stores with the pets there. I go to a local feed store but sometimes if they don't have minzy's food, I have to get it from a store with pets in cages. I avoid buying anything there as much as possible.

LBJ- I hope you feel better soon! 5 does seem like a lot. Make sure you get that iron back in you!

I feel so bad for my bird! (not that he knows or cares) but his hatch day was sept 3rd & I was so busy getting everything together for Mimzy's condo that I forgot! So I had a makeup day for him on the 9th. I baked him a seed cake but he only eats the sunflower seeds -.-

He's officially 10 yrs old! My baby is growing up

Aw! Hatch day I've not heard of that before-so cute.

What kind of bird is he Mimzy?

I'm rabbit sitting a friends rabbits for a week. 7 of them.
It's kinda mad at my house! Luckily no other humans live here. Haha. I don't know if they'd put up with it.
In total, 14 rabbits here at mo. F O U R T E E N!
Thank goodness it's not permanent.

I'll post some pics if I get her permission. 3 are wild rabbits so they're pretty fascinating to watch. : )

SkippersMama and Mimzy - I didn't eat any steak, but I feel better today. I might be sleepy later though since I couldn't sleep last night. That had more to do with anxiety though.

Speaking of anxiety, I about lost it at work today. The person who got that job was going around telling everyone. I sort of hid from her. I'm not angry that she got the job and I didn't, I'm angry because I feel like I was lied to. I was made a fool of and it is difficult for me to be there right now.

It's a week and a bit until I head off for my trip to Melbourne, I'm nervous about the trip and the judging but I know that my crew will be looked after, just have to write to a 'to do' list for mum about feeding the bunnies. The cats and dog are easy to look after because I usually bag up a weeks worth of cat food (boys get one bag between them and Iris gets her own cause she's spoilt) and the dog gets a scoop of food.
For bunnies mornings is a scoop of pellets/chopped hay along with a good handful of hay plus two bok choy leaves and 3 pieces of fancy lettuce, evenings is pellets/chopped hay along with a pinch of sunflower seeds and rolled oats and another lot of hay. And I'll have to tell her how to clean up their crates and to give Ash a brush every few days

Cinnabun! I LOVE that picture!!! So cute!!

I went to bunnyfest yesterday here in San Diego, CA! It was nice! I got a T-shirt (which I am wearing now), a hay box, a food dish that connects to the cage, and a cool car magnet! I saw Nancy there who is the woman I adopted my bunnies from ( she helps run the rescue) and she had a foster bunny there! She was a beautiful black and white bunny! My mom wanted her but we have no more room for anymore bunnies, though I think my cage/condo is big enough for three idk. Bonding might be hard with already two bunnies. When I move out I would like to adopt an already bonded pair so I can have two bonded pairs and maybe eventually bond all of them together. Who knows. Oh and also another thing about that bunny is she wanted to be a single lady bunny. They tried bonding her with other bunnies but she didn't approve. =P Anyways, I saw a flemish giant in person for the first time! so beautiful the ears were to big!! I was in love! haha I wish I could have a flemmy! People brought their bunnies on harnesses and in strollers. San Diego is about 80-90 miles from my house sooo bringing the bunnies along probably wouldn't have been a great idea and I don't have anything like a harness (which I heard are dangerous anyways) and I don't have a stroller. I don't know how much they would have enjoyed it anyways. I saw a big bunny being held by it's owner and it started kicking and twirling. Scared me because I thought she was going to drop her bunny. She didnt have a good handle on it. There were some gorgeous bunnies there though! There was a little dwarf bunny in a cute little dress! haha Made me want to find something to dress up Valentine and Rascal! =P I know I want to get the Halloween costumes but idk . Just the silliness in me.

After the bunnyfest, we went to a casino called Barona it's in San Diego also. It was big and beautiful but didn't give us much on the slots. Probably won't go there again, plus it's a 90 mile drive lol

All in all yesterday was a great day but I was pooped. lol I had to wake up early and I didn't sleep well the night before.

Skipper's Mama, yup! How did you know?

I wish there was a Bun Fest in the Pacific Northwest : ( I would TOTALLY GO! I would have to train my diva to be in a stroller or something.. Hmmm.

Today is MY FRIDAY

I think it is going to be 'Chacha Mama gets drunk and plays Modern Warfare 3!' since I begin classes next week -_- My freedom will go POOF next week!

Oh my gosh Cinnabun that just made me squeel with how cute it is.

Hahaha LoveChaCha those are the best! I did that with my bf the weekend before we started our Fall semester.

So this past weekend was fun. I went grocery shopping with my bf's mom and sister and brother-in-law. My bf's brother-in-law is a big wine drinker so we sat there for like an hour in Publix trying to help him pick out a wine since he has no clue what type he likes. My bf's sister and I spotted these really cheap bottles that were like 2 for $7 and told his brother-in-law to get those since they were the last two left. (We figured they must be good if they were all pretty much gone.) He kind of was giving a stink about it because he was all worried about it being cheap wine. So he picked up this bottle with a penguin on it and we got the 2 bottles for $7. We get home and my bf's brother-in-law likes the wine we picked out more. xD

Skipper's been a big stinker though lately. Her hormones are just out of hand and she's all angsty since we had to start putting the drops in her ears again. I moved her cage today and saw that she had peed all on the back of the wall behind her. O.o Oh yeah cleaned that sucker with vinegar/water.

Looks like my dad's gout is back Stress can cause it, trauma (from his recent food injury. he didn't have good shoes at his gf's place so he had to use these horrible sandals that have no support whatsoever) He has not had it for a while. But this time, it is extremely severe. It went from one foot to the other, and now he has it in his wrist. He is going to go back to being mostly vegetarian. Food also impacts and triggers gout attacks. Animal meat, shellfish, alcohol. When he is better, we are going to look up recipes online to try to cook. I don't mind it at all, in fact, I think it would be good for the both of us to do this for our health and for the sake of eating good food. My poor dad can't seem to catch a break

My preferred feed store to get Mimzy's food was out of her food so I had to go to this other store that has little hampsters, puppies, & birds in the cages. I hate going there! They all look healthy and it's a clean place but they sell them at such young ages!! I had a coupon there so I bought her a couple new toys, one was a knot nibbler but she didn't take to it.
I went today to see if they would let me exchange it for 2 other toys and they said no since it was already open =( Understandable I suppose, although if I remember correctly, I think petco took an opened toy back from me before. Then asked if I still wanted to purchase the other 2 toys, I decided not to and just put them back. I don't think I'll shop there anymore...they didn't have bunnies this time around which I was happy about, but I hate seeing the puppies on that wire flooring, no mat/rug at all. Just wire floor that looks like it hurts their feet & a food & water dish.

I'll just have to remember to get Mimzy's food even sooner than I do already.

Last night I was laying in my bed on my computer watching netflix and little Belle hopped up onto my bed then came and lay down in by my side with my arm round her and her chin resting on my arm!! It was the cutest thing ever and she's never been comfortable with me having my arm round her and touching her bum but last night she just lay down with a little sleepy face and let me while I pet her with the other hand. Seriously cutest thing I have ever seen! It made me feel all happy because it must mean she's beginning to trust me more now if she was quite happy to lie with me like that. I love her so much .

@Isabella- Oh my goodness! That is the best thing I've heard all day. That really makes me happy. Belle must really love you a lot!! I hope Ollie will do some cuddling like that with me soon. <3

I have news everyone... Ollie went to the vet yesterday to get snipped, and an hour after I dropped him off the vet called me... I was in a panic thinking that he died on the operating table...

Turns out.. Ollie is a girl! It's so funny to have your perceptions changed like that. SHE is doing pretty good... Had a couple of scares yesterday but she is peeing and pooping and eating. So I'm one relieved bun mom. I did find an uneaten cecal pellet in her litter box this morning but only that one. Going to keep a look out for more.

Haha Bumble, the exact opposite thing happened to me with Remy. I dropped him off thinking he was going in for a spay, only to have the vet call me (which made me panic of course). Turns out Remy was a boy! Happens all the time .

Thank goodness for names that can be used either way! I met a girl in the rabbit aisle of my store the other day and she said that her boy rabbit's name was Alice Wonderland. Same thing happened to her as it did to you! I think she still calls him Alice though! Ha!
