yesterday chipmunk did his normal I have to climb everything like a monkey and climbed the outside of his cage. this time when he jumped down he got his back left foot caught and I ran over to him to rescue him. he squealed a little so I assumed something got hurt. So after some holding and gentle tak he calmed down enough for me to look at his foot. I didn’t see anything wrong and set him down to see how he was hopping. he seemed prety normal at this point.

So today I was trimming nails and when I saw his left foot whis middle toe was way out of alignment!!! he didnt squeal or grind his teeth when I touched it. so I put him dowm and he was running around with his brother and didnt seem to be in pain. but he is hopping with his left foot turned out now. So we are off to the vet, tomorrow. I am hoping that he is ok… has anyone else had an issule like this? I have never dealt with an injury before, I have always tried to keep them safe, but he watched Cinnamon(monkey) climb her cage all the time and started copying her. so I try to stop them when they do that. anyon else got daredevils??

(((vibes))) for Chipmunk and his lil foot!
Jersey had a sprain once and it was hard to see her hopping around with her paw pulled up. But it didn’t stop her!

My foster bun is a total monkey too. Always trying to climb out the pen. I see him multiple times up there, clinging to the side. There is only so much we can do to protect them. But they’re determined little rascals.

Poor Chipmunk! And poor you! It’s so scary when they hurt themselves. My rabbit has had several close calls with getting his feet wedged in between bars before, but nothing ever serious thankfully. Sometimes they are just too rambunctious for their own good… Please keep us updated on Chipmunk’s condition after the vet appt. Sending healing vibes your way!

PS – I really love his markings

Good luck at the vet. ((((((Chipmunk))))) I think you should show him a slideshow of monkey and bunny pictures so he knows the difference in the future.   Hope his little toe is okay.
