Our house is coming along great! They finished the outside of our house last week!
Where there isn't siding their will be a rock wall except for the strip in the middle which is where we will have a deck.

I don't have an updated photo of the whole front of our house so here is the part by the garage. You can see we have a garage door now too!

We also have the whole upstairs drywalled and we are going to paint this weekend! I am so excited!

Edit: I will post pictures of the inside later!

Picking paint colours can be fun with the new websites. Find several popular paint brands then go to their websites and they have pages with demo rooms where you select the colour scheme so you can see how it looks.

I am kind of disappointed! They didn't end up finishing the walls so we could paint so that got put off until next weekend. I am SO disappointed! I can't wait to move in so the rabbits can get out of a cage and be free range in my room again!

Another update! Woot! You guys are probably sick of this by now! Haha.

My Dad and my Uncle (he builds houses and stuff so we hired him) started on the decks a few days ago. One is by the living room/dining room (far left) and the other one is my Mom and Dads private deck from their bed room (right)!

Yesterday my dad finished the main deck except for the steps/landing/ramp which we wont do until later. Don't have a whole picture of the deck but here he is finishing it last night! He worked late! I helped him screw on quite a few boards but it hurt my knees and hands a lot.... I shouldn't be  getting old this soon!

They finished putting up the wood on the ceiling! Not sure when they will put up the ones on the wall though!

Here is how the drywall looks! All they have to do is prime the walls and we will be ready to paint! This is the dining room.

Wow Mocha! I'm a big fan of 101Rabbits, and you're one of the people who have helped me a lot in getting back in my feet in bunhood. I'm very excited, my bun comes in 4 weeks! Hehe!
But anyway. I've been following about your house building, and your rabbit room will be so awesome! You and your buns are very lucky! Good luck with everything, the house will be fantastic, I'm jealous x

Hi, Mocha! I just caught up on your pix, and the house is looking wonderful!

My parent's got one of those solar sky lights installed in this house. You can't read by it, but it gives a nice, soft illumination. (Even during hurricane season if the power goes out, you can see by it.)

Is any of the wood cedar? I always was fascinated by closets and storage areas made of cedar, since it keeps so well and smells lovely.

RabbitPam: I sure hope we don't get any hurricanes here! LOL! Although we do have awful thunder storms in the summer and have power outages very often. The wood is pine. My mom is allergic to the smell of ceder so that would not be good!

I FINALLY have another update on the bunnies! YAY!

They are holding up pretty well. They barely EVER get to go outside of their pen so they are pretty upset about that. Its to cold for them to go outside any more (low 40F to below freezing! Burrrrr!) and they are not allowed any where else in the house. I actually think it upsets me more then them. I have been changing their setups to keep it interesting and exciting.

Here is their current setup!
It is a 2x3 condo with a 2x2 tower and a 10x4 pen but it is 5 foot wide on the left.

Here is a closer view of the 2x2 tower. It is 4 grids tall.

The top opens for easy cleaning and bunny snuggles. It doesn't normally bend in that much when I open the door but I have about 10lbs of hay and a ceramic tile on top.

Top level is a 3 grid shelf in a L shape and Mocha.

Bottom shelf is 2 grids but the towels are kind of falling off. I need some binder clips to keep them on but I haven't got any yet. Don't worry I doubled the towels up so their paws don't sink in the holes.

They enter through this 1 grid hole. I put the kabob there for now but I normally have it on the xpen. It helps a lot with them chewing the pen!

And Lulu!

Good news is that Mocha is getting more friendly! He used to only be "himself" around me. He would get very scared and aggressive towards anyone else. But now since my grandparents go down there almost once a day they go RUNNING towards the pen! And the best part is..............................wait for it...............................................wait for it........................................................................ ....He us finally letting people pet him! Not just me but my grandma here! This is the first time in 3 years he doesn't imedetly run away when he sees your hand! I am so proud of my little man! on the down side, my mom think he is getting fatter, which very well could be true since he just lays around all day. Sigh.... I just have to remember, its only a few more weeks and they will be free ranging in their own room!

Sorry for such a long post

Today the stone people came and started putting up the stone on our house! It looks great! it isn't really "real" stone either. But, shhh, don't tell anyone that! Hahaha

Another good update is that they finished priming the walls and they are ready to paint! So that is what we are doing next weekend.

I love that stone look.

I want a Mocha-area-rug like you have. LOL He looks so comfy there. It is very good news about the petting. My folks are much more tolerated by Sammy than I thought they would be also, so maybe it's a grandparent thing that bunnies like. If Sammy would just climb levels, a condo that high would be so much easier for my mother's back. Not having to stoop over makes it easier to pet bunnies.

OMG, Mocha! It is looking sooooo good! I'm so excited and happy for you -- not gonna lie though, watching this thread has made me wanna build a house too! It's soooo freaking exciting! That rock is gorgeous! (Your secret is safe with us! )

And I wouldn't worry about the bun buns! I feel like we ALL worry a lot more than our buns do. You're obviously giving them a good variety of switching around the cage to keep them happy and it's only a few more weeks!

I'm so happy for your little Mocha! I know how exciting it is when your bun that HATES people reaching, touching, anything, around him finally begins to come out and love everything and everyone! Same thing just happened to my little girl when we got her spayed and it's so touching to see them finally enjoying the love you have to offer!

Here they are working on the stone on the lake side (ignore the workers :p)

Close up of stone

The wood on the living room walls will be done tonight.

We still need the logs up on the ceiling to cover up the seems. The fire place looks sort of strange because of the two logs it is eventually going to be a mantle.

The bunny room! Ready to paint this weekend!

Other end of the bunny room!

I painted part of the bunny room today! The colors are grey and green and only painted the grey because I didn't buy the green yet! I love it! Its so pretty!
in this picture is hard to tell that its grey but if you look at the ceiling which is white you can tell.

You can tell it better in this picture. (those greens are not the color I am painting my wall. I just got a sample and didn't like it.)

What I drew on the wall for fun! :p

We have painted more walls in different room so I will upload some pictures later. We also have some tile on the floor!

Yesterday they finished all of the hardwood flooring in our house! It looks so nice. You can also see the colors of the walls. The lighting isn't that good on these pictures.

Dining room. We didn't paint all the way to the ceiling because we are putting some sort of shelf type thing with a rope light going around the room. I am not really sure what it is or what it will look like! LOL

The Great Room!

The fire place will be getting the same stone that is on the outside of the house sometime next week.

The Kitchen. We didn't paint where the cabinets would go.

Here is the tile in the laundry room. It is also in the hallway outside of the laundry room and in the bathroom.

Master bedroom. (Really bad picture, sorry. I was trying to work fast because the camera was dying.

The master room walk in closet.

So thats it for now. I am off to go do school. "Sigh"

Thursday night was the first night the cats and my Mom and I slept in the house. It was also the first time all four of our cats were together in one space in awhile (long story short, Clara and Emmett "seen the the picture below" moved up north early in the summer and when Cloud and Shadow came up after our old house sold there were some territorial issues that led to fights between them)

Let me just say, I barely slept! Meowing, hissing, growling! Example: Cloud was sleeping under my blanket when Emmett came over by me to snuggle, didn't know could was under the blanket and stepped on her head Lots of growling! No fights though so that's good!

Bad news is we think Clara (The calico sleeping on the bed) might be sick. Ever since we moved them into the house she hasn't eaten much and my Mom said she saw her jump into the litter box and not go to the bathroom. I was able to get her to eat less then a 1/8 cup of dry food by playing her favorite game of throwing her food and she chases it today, but the last piece she ate she spit out and wouldn't eat anymore. She also feels very light. We hope we wont have to take her to the emergency vet but we think we will have to make an appointment for Monday.

I need to update you guys on the hardwood floors and my room but I am sick today and don't feel like taking pictures.

Here is my room! How do you like the paint colors? They are supposed to go with my 101rabbits logo! They also finished the floor by sanding it and staining it! I LOVE the color! It is SO pretty!

She ate a little bit of her canned food once she was outside so that's good! She also has TONS of energy. She doesn't seems sick so I wonder if she was just stressed. Our other cat Emmett had a URI and crystals earlier this year and is now on special food. I will keep you updated though! They worked on the stone around the fireplace and should be finished in the next few days.

Love the floor! Your room looks great too!
Make sure you keep an eye on weather Clara goes to the bathroom or not, although with 4 cats that would of course be difficult to keep track of. If she starts vomiting, take her to the vet ASAP. The symptoms sound similar to what our cat did when she got sick, but she stopped pooping and couldn't keep anything down. It ended up being a blockage and required E-surgery. She might just be stressed, like you said *healing vibes*
