Can someone give me instructions on how to build a condo for two buns?  I would need the dimensions and everything including how to make the floor bases and the ramps.  I am not handy.  lol  I am going to have my dad build the floors and stuff.  I would put the overall condo together though.  Any good ideas?

I am going to attach it to my x-pen so they have some room to run around too if they wanted to in their cage.

        Thanks!

When looking at bunny condos I always refer to BudgetBunny they have a brilliant how to guide. http://budgetbunny.ca/2011/01/18/building-your-own-bunny-condo-a-step-by-step-how-to/ Hope this helps. It’s always good to consider the amount of room you have for the condo. And then try to figure it out from there.

Definitely budget bunny, I used some tips from them. You can also look up “how to build rabbit condo” on youtube, there’s some pretty good ones on there. I also looked at the photos here on binkybunny from other people’s condos and did my own measurments based on how many grids long/tall.

I bought a box of grids to start just to see where I can go with it. I am probably going to buy another box next week. Went to target and they were $25 for a box to make 6 cubes. Was hoping they would be only $20 but it’s okay. Maybe next week they will be on sale! lol

Going to fix up the bunny area and see what I can do to start. I can get wood for free since my dad is a cabinet maker and works with wood. I’ll just ask him to bring home some wood. Only thing is I don’t know if he can cut it here. Then I will have to buy some stick on linoleum or tile. I’m excited! =) I know Rascal will love it, not so sure about Valentine..She may though! This is why I am keeping the x-pen part to it also, just in case they don’t like it. =P

Turns out the grids I bought are too big and the buns might get their head stuck in them. They did come with smaller ones but I spent $25 and only half are usable. Does anyone know where to get some that they all are a good size and I can use them?

We purchased ours off of Amazon because all the ones sold at Target/Walmart/Kmart had the bigger grids.

I’m thinking of using mesh to cover the bigger grids and then ordering more grids on amazon. The only thing with that is, I am worried they’ll want to chew the mesh. What do you think? Should I just return the box I bought from target and order from amazon?

Maybe not mesh but something.  I’ve been seeing people have coverings over their bigger grids.  I wonder what it is though.  hmmm.

I know these grids probably came like that but I want to find something like this that I can put over the bigger grids:

Hmm…I bought my grids from Bed, Bath and Beyond. It was a lot cheaper there. The bottom panels of that picture look like the plastic shelving. Is there any way you can return the grids? Since they are unusable?

I am using the bigger grids but they will be up against the wall so no bun heads can get stuck. I just went to bed, bath, and beyond and bought another two boxes of grids! yay! I am totally excited. Buns are coming home today and I’ve got to really get a move on this condo. I’ve only got 7 days!! lol I hope that will be enough time! =) I am sure it will be FOR ME but for my dad to make the wood pieces, idk…=O

What dimensions are the bigger grids? I’m just curious since the ones I ordered seem to all be uniformly the same.
