Hello!  I have been on here for a while but just kinda reading up and getting info.  I recently bought 2 baby girls, a mini rex and a dutch, from a show breeder after falling in love with a mini rex at a pet store.  They are 8 weeks old and so sweet, I was very impressed by the breeders barn as all the babies were at the front of their cages wanting attention and are not skittish at all.

I have named my little dutch girl Lila, as her eyes are an amazing lilac color.  She is the bossy one of the two and so small(was the runt of a litter of 10 I believe.)  She wanted out of the carrier I had her in from the minute I put her in, scratching at the door, as soon as she was out she was exploring everything and not the least bit afraid of anything.

My little rex girl is still with out a name, she is just warming up so she will get a name when her personality comes out.

Neither is spayed but will be once big enough, I have taken them to the vet and the whole office just loved on them for over an hour, not many bunnies come in as I am in a farming community and rabbits are mostly outside and not pets.

I am relatively new to rabbits, I had one as a child that was supposed to be a dwarf and turned out to be one massive bun, but that is about it in rabbits.  I have had just about every kind of animal.  I have 5 dogs, 2 chinchillas, 2 sugar gliders, a turtle and a fish tank.  Now 2 rabbits.  All my small animals in habit the same room that has 2 gates before you can enter (one of my dogs is a hunting type and just don't want any accidents.)  I built my rabbits their own cage out of the cubes, it is huge compared to their little baby selves, but should give them enough room when they are grown.  They also will have free range of the room once they are big enough to not squeeze through the gates are are litter box trained.

Also have named my little rex girl: Piper. I have a third bunny now, a very little baby, probably too little though I don't know was told 8 weeks but my others are 8 weeks and have dates for them and they are 2 times bigger than this little girl. But she is another mini rex and named Bailey. Pictures will come tomorrow.

Welcome to BB. I love the name Piper. Would also love to see more pics, especially a close-up of Lila's eyes.

LOVE them! So adorable! And welcome to BB! You sound like my boyfriend and I -- we went to our breeder and got one little guy, a month later went back and got his sister, and then another month later ended up back getting the other brother! LOL. They're just soooo adorable!
