Hi! I was recently bequeathed a two year old rabbit... my two year old daughter named "Hoppy". I am curious what breed it is, as the people who gave it to me didn't know. I am still working on learning everything there is to know about this particular bunny's history, but I have owned rabbits in the past.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Looks like a black otter Netherlands Dwarf to me, judging by the petite ears and head/body shape. Do you know his/her weight? (Or gender?) Adorable in any case

I definitely agree that she is adorable and we love her/him. I did look up sexing the rabbit and I could probably weight it on my food scale she is so small, but I am trying to kind of let her chill out some before I start invading her space. We just clipped her nails today and it went really well though, so I could probably figure out the sex and weight soon... Get back to you guys tomorrow?

She definitely looks like a chacha, meaning a black otter netherlands dwarf. She's so cute!

Definitely a netherland dwarf - the size is right on and those tiny ears and round face are definitely ND traits.

She definitely looks like my girl, but she looks more like a silver marten netherland dwarf. I don't see any tan spots on her like my ChaCha does

Be prepared to be owned

I agree, I think she's silver marten colour too, not otter. But definitely a nethie and definitely adorable!

Welcome here
So glad to read you tackled those nails. They certainly needed it!

Oooo, She's a Pepper Mini-Me.
My Pepper is Silver Marten (not entirely sure how pure but then that is the nature of Silver Martens, being ringins that is)

lol, it looks like you guys are spot on - and cha cha is like her twin... and you are correct, silver martin I think - there is no tan in her coloring. Thanks everyone! I will definitely be asking you all more questions soon I am sure.
