Has anyone experienced these? Stormy’s tummy was growling so loud last night, I thought it was mine at first. I assume it’s gas. He feels fine and is eating and pooping. I gave him a dose of Simethicone last night but its still gurgling this morning. It sounds incredibly painful!

I gave him a small amount of kale at suppertime on Wednesday. Could that be causing gas even now? Won’t be giving him anymore of that. He’s had it before but not in a while.

Well according to Dr. Susan Brown, the things that cause us gas don’t necessarily cause your rabbits gas since they have a different gi tract than us. It may not be gas at all. I think if he’s eating and pooping I would not worry about it.

Thanks, Sarita. If it continues, I’ll mention it to the vet when she calls me with his results. I called yesterday, nothing in yet.

Sometimes it takes awhile for my vet to hook up with the radiologist unless it’s life threatening. What was the other test – it was a fecal, correct?

Fiver always gets loud tummy gurgles. The way I can tell if it’s gas is he does tummy presses.
I’ve been MIA again so I didn’t realize Stormy was being tested for anything. I hope he feels better soon. ((((((((((((((Vibes)))))))))))))

The kale could definitely cause it, especially if he wasn’t used to eating it. I’d give him several doses of simethicone in a row (2-3x/day for 2-3 days) to hopefully make sure whatever is out of whack in his system passes completely, or else it could turn into something bad. Is he drinking enough?

Yes, he seems to be drinking normally.

Yes, Sarita, the other test was a fecal.
