It has taken me a long time to post this; Oreo died on April 3 and it broke my heart.  It happened with out warning.  She came to me when I woke up that morning, she ate her pellets then I heard her running but she was thumping both of her back feet at the same time.  I walked up to her and she looked up at me and I knelt down to her and held her and then she passed.  It was seconds from beginning to end.  That little fur face broke my heart.  Her son was thumping the cat was meowing.  There must have been something wrong with her two nights before because when I woke up for work  her and the cat were laying on the chair together and the cat didn’t want to be bothered she just laid with Oreo.  I have no idea why she passed.  I didn’t go to work that day.  I hope you don’t think this weird but I called a funeral home and they came and picked her up she was cremated. She sits on a shadow box with her picture.  I miss her so much.  I am not sure if I did this part right or not but I left her son Bubba see the body, and as things go he walked up to her sniffed her and thumped his feet.  That little guy was so miserable for weeks.  Almost mean; when we walked up to him he would growl and want to box. He didn’t want to be bothered.  I was worried about him because he did what Oreo did.  If she went to bed he went to bed, if she woke up and came down stairs to eat he did.  He is doing much better now.  I bought him a bunny stuffed animal, he will groom it and lay beside it.  Our cat was upset also, she wouldn’t stop meowing until I took her down stairs to see the body.  I had to open the box, remove the sheet and show her Oreo’s face before she would stop.  Believe it or not that cat got close her face kissed it made a real low meow and looked at me as to say I am done please close the box.  When the funeral director came and was leaving with Oreo the cat followed him to the door.   I will miss her with all my heart.  I never had a bunny until her.  She was an amazing rabbit.  My son even though he is 14 said to me crying maybe the Easter Bunny needed help this year.
