ETA: Ok, this may not be Effie's home for a few more weeks, she can get out through the holes in the cage!
Wow! Those must be huge grid holes! Glad that the cage can be adjusted. =]
I saw on a YouTube video of a woman placing plastic chicken wire over the cage because her bun did the same thing. And the woman had strung zipties through the cage and the mesh. It sort of looked like this:http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...reId=10051
I'm not sure if this is the safest alternative but just something to think about to maybe give you ideas.
