So I bought my bun a new litter box in hope of cutting down on money and to give her a larger litter box.  It’s one of the litter boxes from BusyBunny.  She’s a massive digger and I hopped that the screen would help her from kicking out all her litter all over her cage.  I’m a little baffled as to what to do though.    I don’t think Skipper understands that it’s meant to be used as a litter box.    I did put some litter on the second tray to kind of signal to her that it can be used as a litter.  However, she only seems interested to sit in it and chomp on her hay from the rack that is positioned in front of it.  She had taken to her previous litter box (a tupperware container that has become a little small for her).  I do have a second litter box (it was her back-up one if the other had become too full and she rarely used it) up on one of her other shelves.  Now she’s taken to using her back-up litter box as her main one.  What can I do to get her to understand that she should be using the other one?  Should I just take out her back-up litter box?  I was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips.   Thanks guys!

You have both litterboxes in her area? I would take out the back-up.

Thanks Sarita. =] I took out the back-up litter box and am waiting to see how she does.
