It’s possible that Mimzy has some mite infestation going on now after a month of headtilt. His back is rife with dandruff and his fur is falling out. He’s itchy as hell.

        Vet prescribed selamectin (Revolution).

I’ve always heard ivermectin was the preferred treatment.

Can anyone clear this up for me before I have to go pick this stuff up tomorrow? I have to treat all three rabbits.

        Thanks.

Most everyone I know use Revolution.

Ivermectin is injectible and requires 3 treatments.

I think both are equally good. I like the idea that you don’t need to do an injection for the Revolution and it will be much less stressful for you to administer.

It wouldn’t surprise me that he has mites as he has low immunization right now due to his illness.

          More vibes to Mimzy.

Thanks Sarita, that helps ease my mind. I knew one of the mite treatments was bad for bunnies but couldn’t recall which.
I do hope I can get it put on the right spot so he can’t reach it. He can almost turn around and groom his back without falling over. 0_o

It sounds like he’s been improving if he can do that.

When I had a flea scare, I treated all my buns with Revolution. My rabbit vet suggested it and calculated the dosage based on my buns weights. One tube did all 3 bunnies.
