So for about a month now Hunny’s right ear has been flopped… Now she’s Flemish, I met both her parents & they were both Flemish so she shouldn’t have a flopped ear, right? I know bunnies will relax their ears & it doesn’t seem to be bothering her… She’s not scratching it, I can touch it & look inside.  She’s eating, drinking & pooping like normal.  Has had a bit of change in personality since her spay (5/30/12)… Basically has calmed way down & enjoys her “alone” time but stiil has her early morning spurts of energy, running laps & binkys.  So basically I wonder if I should be concerned.  Has anyone had a bunny who’s ears should be erect but aren’t?? It’s only the one ear & every once in a while she does have it up but 97% of the time it’s flopped.

My bun (the white one in my avatar) has one ear that flopped when he was about 3 months old. I asked the vet about it and she said it’s perfectly fine, some bunnies just have a floppy ear. I think it makes him look so dang cute! Ha! ha!

I think it’s perfectly fine also. I would check the ear regularly for any discoloration, discharge or swelling in case there’s a medical cause (that you can no longer see because it’s flopped.). If she scratches it a lot or more than the other one, or cleans it more, then have your vet examine her for any of these reasons.
