Hey guys thanks for putting up with all my questions. =p  But I’m going through and trying to figure out what seeds to order for my bunny veggie garden.  I was looking at anise seeds.  Is it safe for rabbits to eat?  Not a lot of sites have anything to do with it.  It’s not on either of the safe or toxic lists.

Here’s the herb that I’m looking to get.

I have no idea – I think because it’s not one of those common herbs it may not be listed anywhere. It sure looks lovely.

I once used a Critical Care that was anise flavored, but I’m not sure if that means that the seeds are safe.

My rule of thumb is if It’s not absolutely safe from a number of sources, it’s not worth the risk. So I’d say no based on that.

Dandelions, roses, clover, alfalfa, dill, mint, basil, nasturtium, carrots, berries, etc-all safe Order those

@bunnyfriend That’s why I was questioning whether or not buns can actually ingest the plant form of anise.

@Kokaneeandkahlua Thanks. =] I was just looking into adding some variety into her diet.

@Sarita It does look lovely! That’s why I wanted to grow it. Not to mention it helps boost the caterpillar/butterfly population.
