So I was curious.  I’ve seen Skipper have hiccups several times now and I was just wondering if it was normal.    Have we been feeding her anything odd to cause the hiccups?  And is it okay for her to have hiccups?  Thanks for putting up with my questions.

Normal. Cinnabun gets them sometimes too. The first time I saw her have them I freaked out cause they look like little seizures or something. So far I haven’t figured out anything I give her that causes them.

I haven’t heard of hiccups. My only concern would be if they are aspirating due to inhaling some water they drank. Try to notice when it happens, like after eating washed greens or something. Doesn’t sound harmful, but I don’t think it’s common.

Peppy occasionally gets what I can only describe as hiccups too, and I haven’t ever been able to find any correlation to other things. Like RabbitPam said, do try to see if it’s caused by anything, but as far as Peppy’s go, they seem to be pretty harmless.

Okay thanks guys. =] I’ll make sure to keep an eye on when she gets them. Have your buns made any actual hiccuping noises before? The first couple of times she got them she didn’t but this last time she did.

Bindi has gotten what really looked like hiccups before while he was laying down. No noise though, just the hiccup looking head bob.
