I know Bunnnnie used to use Timothy pellets made for horses. I found one online that is completely 100% Timothy with no bentonite in them (I don’t even know what that is). I thought I could give them a little every night for a treat since they don’t get pellets anymore. I know it is safe since it is 100% timothy with nothing else in them. But would it make them not eat as much hay? My rabbits are AMAZING hay eaters! Not very picky and eat a TON every day even when they had pellets. Also they have Oat hay pellet that I thought they might like to! Mmmm! Nom!

Ahh. Just realized you can’t get them online! Would the timothy pellets with the ingredient natural bentonite be ok?

Hmmm if it’s 100% timothy I think that would be a super pellet. Not sure though, we’ll see what others think

I would think it’s fine. It sounds like the pelletized oat hay that binkybunny sells except it’s timothy hay.

ok. I think I might get them. But they come in a 50 lb bag so do you think i could freeze some?

I would think you could freeze them, especially since 50 pounds is quite a bit!

I saw that they also sold Oat hay pellets, and alfalfa-oat. Not completely sure if the alfalfa-oat ones would be okay, but probably especially if it’s just for treats. I have the Oat hay pellets from binkybunny and Usagi definately seems to like them!

Bentonite is a type of clay, probably used for binding the pellets together.. but that one you mentioned doesn’t have any which is always good! Wish we had a wide choice down here but bunnies are still spoilt

yeah, bentonite is used in alot of pharmaseuticals too, for binding capsules of medicine together. Its safe

Interesting. Whenever (if) I get my Flemish I was going to get the 50lbs Oxbow Essentials from Dr Foster and Smith, for $65.
This one seems incredibly cheap at $15.70, I wonder if they get you with the shipping? I tried to find a shipping calculator on there but couldn’t. Anybody know what the shipping is?

Mocha, if you decide to order it, would you mind letting me know how much it was?

I think it’s just timothy hay or whatever hay and the binder. It does not have the same ingredients as the pellets from Oxbow.

I’ve gotten some of these pellets from Sterret brothers (I think) and my rabbits would not touch them. Some of the pellets were larger too like they were made for horses.
