I am almost finished making my outdoor rabbit condo completely predator and rabbit safe! My parents are pushing for me to let the outside and I would like to so that they can get some sunlight! I wanted to get some flee and tic protection and  last year my vet told me to get some kitten Revolution and use the amount it says on the packages for their weight. I was wondering if it will help with tics and if I can let them outside before I put it on them since we wont be running into town real soon.

I’m not sure, it says it does in the dog formula for ticks, but not the cat formula. You might call the vet’s office to ask them. I know for both formula’s it kills fleas.

You can use it for puppies and kittens. It is made for both.

If Revolution is the safe one, then I know it’s the kitten kind that is recommended. But I don’t think you need to do it preventatively, just if you spot a flea or tick. Guys, is that right?

I used it for a couple of months, she was constantly scratching and stuff. Guess what? She scratches about every minute of every day! LOL

Don’t think she had fleas, but, her and our cat were treated for a couple of months, it was purple and pink or orange collar pack, actually, now that I think about it, it was “Advantage” we used. Cat=17lbs

                  Rabbit under 3 lbs

Velvet is just fine from it, I guess with 2-3 inches of wooley hair makes you prune yourself all day long!

We have a major flea problem down where I am (worsened by the ex neighbours) I treat every couple of months I use the cats as a guide if I see a flea on the cats everybody gets treated. I use the revolution puppy and kitten you can buy it in single ampules from the vet or pet shop. Dosage for mine is a single drop on the tip of my finger then dotted behind the neck. Piglet is bigger and has the thickest coat, he has a two drops onto a surface then dabbed onto the back of his neck with my finger. It reduces the quantity to a drop and a half.

Oh, I use my finger tip as it is the best way to control the dose. Won’t try applying direct from the ampule as there is the risk of over dosing if you squeeze it too hard.
