We ended up with two produce boxes used to ship peppers in. They are a great size for the buns, but I worry if they are safe. Could the cardboard have chemicals/pesticides in it? Thoughts?

theyre fine as long as theyre not one of the ones lined with wax on the inside.

I actually don’t know about the pesticide part of it. That is a good point. Unless they held organic produce.

It doesn’t say organic on the boxes. I just wonder if the peppers were rinsed before they were put in the boxes. If they weren’t then couldn’t the pesticides run off onto the cardboard if they got wet while in the boxes? I don’t know how that works.
