BUNNY BONDING!

This process for  my trio is turning out to be more exhausting than the 6 miles I run every day -- it's a process for sure, with ups and downs!

To help lighten up the process, just wondering if you guys had any good bunny bonding stories to tell!  My trio have been hysterical so far -- with the girl thumping at the boys and the boys cuddling up to each other instead!  I've heard males and females are easier to bond but with my trio it's been exactly the opposite!

Phewwww.

Well, your trio has not even gone through adolescence just yet and I would recommend that you don't start bonding until every one has been altered. Your boys may already have reached sexual maturity at 4 months and can be altered. That is really rule number one for bonding.

Even after they are neutered you need to wait a full month to even consider putting them with an unaltered female as they can still impregnate her.

Of course once she is spayed, there is no problem as far as pregnancy goes but she will need a few weeks to heal after her surgery.

We are only having "bonding time" with the altered male and female and the unaltered male and altered male now! I remember you saying that from before. The male we got last night has been altered already! The only play time the unaltered male and female have had is the time before I put my first post on here!

The unaltered male and altered one have really taken to each other quite a bit --- or would you suggest not putting them together either? The male and female (unaltered) are both getting done this coming Monday so I mean it's really not a long wait until they can besides the healing process.

I think as long as the males are getting along and are supervised, it should be fine.

I would just wait on the female since she is getting altered on Monday and then will need to heal. It won't make much sense to even try since the spay is Monday and then you want to at least wait a week for her to heal from her surgery. There won't be risk of pregnancy at all then, but there is always the chance that she may be more hormonal after her spay as well. It can take awhile for the body to adjust as well after the surgery.
