Sorry im new and using a phone. :/ I found a baby albino bunny the other night on the side of the road So I picked it up and took it home with me. The other night I laughed a lot of broccoli leaves and carrot tops in its cage so what have plenty of food When I came home she had eaten at all and look very bloated and could not walk and had no energy She went to the bathroom multiple times including number 1 and number 2 When I went to check on her this morning after I had left she was laying on her side And was very cold So I took her to the vet And that obviously didn’t know anything about bunnies. But you gave me and heating socks And the recipe for milk supplement. The body is eating the milk supplement very well but still has no energy and Is the lamp for the most part she can barely hold her head up someone please help this is urgent what should I do what’s wrong with my bunny!?

What is wrong with the bunny? Can you get the bunny to a vet?

She could be dehydrated. Even though the vet does not know about bunnies, I would take her in anyway – they should be able to do palliative care for her like fluids. She may have also gotten hit by a car or have an injury – take her in anyway and they can at least exam her. I hope she is okay, but don’t wait to take her in, she sounds as if she is suffering.

I took her in this am. They gave her fluids, she was 100% fine the first 3 days we had her. I think she may have just been eating too much got an upset stomach and got too cold so maybe the food was in digesting properly. She was also grinding her teeth a lot last night which I hear means they’re in pain and she looks bloated maybe she had gas in it was hurting her and maybe that’s why she didn’t want to move. maybe that’s a possibility I don’t know but were hoping she’s on the road to recovery she’s been eating the milk supplement very well and has livend up a bit. But she still is not wanting to walk or move a whole lot

dont give her any vegetables, only pellets & hay. if she is young she can’t handle vegetables well yet

also broccoli can cause gas, you should get simethicone drops from a drugstore, just plain infant gas drops, you can give them a small bit of it and it won’t hurt them

How old does the vet think she is? I question whether she needs to be on any milk supplement if she can eat on her own.

And the vet did not find any signs of trauma or any bites on her?

I’m glad she’s been to the vet, and in the meantime you can look in your town directory for “exotics” vets. They specialize in bunnies. Also, check the top of the Q&A forum for pinned posts about finding a vet.
GI tract problems are common and serious for bunnies, so it sounds like she’s just too young and alone to be successfully weaned and eating normally. I agree that the veggies are too much for her. Definitely hay, in case she has some blockage. Only one, very mild green like green leaf (Never iceberg lettuce) would be OK to try slowly, in very small quantities. Every time you switch to a new veggie, it can upset a bunny’s stomach, so just cut way back to hay, maybe the one green, and simple pellets. You can try a pellet slushie, where you soften the pellets with water so it’s more mushy for her to eat.
But the vet needs to handle this crisis for now. By all means call an exotics vet for a second opinion.
