I’ve been using Oxbow Eco-Straw bedding/litter and I really like it, but it’s very expensive and its not so easy to come by. So, I was wondering if anyone has ever used Cozy N Fresh litter?  Just curious…

you use it for beddign and litter? if you just use it as litter, costs would go way down. using bedding as well can just confuse your bunny into not being 100% with the litter box.

Sorry, that is confusing! I don’t know why I put “bedding” in there at all! I only use it in their litter box and their litter box habits are great! I also forgot to mention that the Cozy N Fresh is made of kiln dried pelleted pine so it should be safe to use, but was just wondering if anyone has used it before.

I bought a paper shredder and shed all my junk mail/office paper for litter pans. It’s not very absorbent, my coupled buns need a change 2x a day, my single girl 1x. BUT I toss it all right into my compost and it’s free.

I use wood stove pellets and i love them, they are great with soaking urine up and help A LOT with the smell. I change my buns litter box 1x or 2x a week. I get it at a local tractor/feed store and for 40lbs of it it cost only around 7 bucks and that last me almost a month. I would deff recommend trying that!

I also use wood stove pellets. They work as well as anything I’ve tried and are so cheap! I save a fortune on litter

Just adding that you want to make sure the wood stove pellets do not have an accelerant added. Otherwise, they’re very good and cheap.
Another cheap brand that is good is Feline Pine. (Pellets only, never pine shavings, btw.) You can use the ones made for cats, which is even cheaper than for bunnies and comes in big bags at pet stores or little bags in the grocery stores. I haven’t heard of the brand you said you liked.

I find that the cost is offset by the quality of the litter when it comes to absorbency and masking odor. I use Aspen litter because it cuts odor really well, and it lasts days longer than the pine pellets. Not sure I’m saving $ though.

Well, I ‘ve been using the Cozy N Fresh litter for about a week now and I really like it! It is Pine Pellets and I’ve been able to go about 3 days in between changes with 2 buns! And when I do dump it, it actually still smells fresh (like pine). I have NO smell in the house and its very absorbant! I bought it at a farm store (Tractor Supply) and it was only about $5 for 20 pounds. Thanks for all the info everyone!
