        Hi you guys!

My name is Jill and I’m super excited to finally be a member of Binky Bunny!

My sister and I got our first rabbit, Magenta, when I was 2 and she was 5. Now my sister has graduated high school, and I’m sad to say that Magenta has recently passed away after a long 13 years of life. I grew up with her and I cannot thank God enough for giving me such a beautiful, and lovely rabbit. Even though she wasn’t the friendliest, Magenta and I had a special bond. I was the only one who she allowed to cut her nails, and hold her. I know she is in bunny Heaven now and I’m happy for her .

A few months have passed since Magenta passed, so I decided to purchase another bunny to fill the hole in my heart. I found a breeder online how lived about an hour away from me (Regal Rabbitry’s Ashely) so I went for a visit. Of course, I fell in love with an American Fuzzy lop, whom I named Maisy (May-zee). She has the cutest Broken Chinchilla coat and is very wooly/fuzzy!

Maisy is 9 weeks old now, and I got her on Thrusday. She loves to binky and lay on her back in my lap while I pet her. She is currently molting her baby coat for a nice, fresh adult one so she is VERY fuzzy and SHEDDING  everywhere hehe. Any advice dealing with AF lop fur, or the breed itself, would be great.

I hope I can make some friends here at Binky Bunny! I’m so excited to immerse myself with other great people who love rabbits .

Welcome! She’s adorable! Just a reminder for your safety you may want to edit your post to not include your age. Bunjamin’s shedding too. His first shed after being a baby it came off like a fine mist, unable for us to control it. This time, its coming out in clumps when I pet him so it’s a little better.

Thank you everyone for the compliments, Maisy loves them!

Thank you Frankie I have edited my post! Maisy’s hair is coming off in clumps, when she’s in my lap she likes it when I pull at the hair lightly to release it. The problem with American Fuzzies is that since she’s a baby her coat mats very easily, especially around her bum and back legs. She gets a bit impatient when I try to pull apart the mats and hops away. Sigh.. One step at a time!
