TGIF – Any weekend plans? We have a 3 day weekend in the US!

Woohoo, I rarely have 3 days weekends and haven’t had any vacations in years so 3 days in a row off – I’m pumped

No vacations in years?! How do you do it?

Some friends are coming over tonight for a campfire (the previous owners of our house build a beautiful fire pit on the edge of the woods). Then tomorrow morning we have plans for a bike ride on the rail trail that runs behind the house (hopefully our campfire party doesn’t get too rowdy or nobody will want to wake up and ride bikes!)

I got an invitation to go into NYC and meet up with an old friend/coworker, but not sure if I really want to go. I always spend so much money every time I go to the city (train ride alone is $60 for two people).

What are you up to, Sarita? Any barbecues planned?

I’m going to Vancouver, BC (if anyone in the US even knows where I’m taking about ) on Sunday, for my moms grad! It’s an hour plane ride (or a 10 hour drive) from where I live. It’s not a long weekend here, but her grad is on Tuesday so we decided to take a few days off and make it a holiday She is a Dental Hygienist, but she went back and got a degree because she started teaching in a Hygiene program. In September she is going straight into a Master’s program!

We are also going to visit some of my cousins that I haven’t seen in 10 years!! They are all married with kids now, so it will be a bit surreal And I will be doing some MUCH needed shopping

Vancouver is a fantastic city – I only went there for a couple day on a work trip, but I’d love to go back.

Today is my birthday I went grocery shopping, bought a 6 pack, my coworker is meeting me at a Mexican restaurant (she promised to buy me drinks and she is bringing her BF along, and so am I), and John and I are going to go see “The Dictator” after

 

I went to the Department of Licensing to renew my ID and I am so happy to have it the ADULT WAY Ha ha ha

I’m sick and tired of English class, so I’m putting that off until Sunday, lol.

I’m just doing the normal weekend stuff – Monday, Etienne invited friends over – he’s cooking some couscous and mergeuz (yuck on the merguez) but like couscous…a Moroccan theme cook out.

Elrohwen – it’s not easy…part of the problem is being self-employed – the 2nd problem is the rabbits, but now that I only have 4, that can be a bit easier to find someone to help with them.

I am going to paint ceramic bowls for my dog and cat. I did one for Nova back in 2009. I should post a picture of it… But anyways, yeah, and I will try to paint a water bowl for them too!

Sounds like everyone has some relaxing plans lined up! I took an extra vacation day and am headed to the indy 500! I’m having bun withdrawals already. I miss JB antics, before I left I got to watch him jump straight into the trash can.It’s a good thing I can still get my fix of adorable bunny pics on BB.

This weekend, I’m going to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! And I could not be more relieved. Just took my last exam today…I’ve officially survived the first grueling year of medical school, and I’m ready to completely shut my brain off for at least a whole week.

Not much planned for the weekend here. Last night Ricky surprised me by taking me to my favorite restaurant (Chinese with lots of yummy vegetarian options ) to celebrate the raise he just got at work. We sure can use it!

We were planning a yard sale for today with my sister but it got cancelled due to rain so we will have to do it later next month. I have so much clutter to get rid of.

The pet store where I get all my rabbits stuff is having a customer appreciation day with lots of freebies and prizes so I will probably stop by there, I need hay anyways.
