  Lately my bunny has been humping, and chinning me. Are those signs he needs to be neutered? He is almost a year old in a few weeks. Is it time?

  Oh, yes indeed. Any time after 4 months-ish for boys is time for a neuter

  I don’t know how you made it almost a year! LOL. I just had my two buns neutered this past Thursday and they were driving me crazy with the humping and “marking” with urine and poos. The neuter went wonderfully, although I was so nervous! They are doing great! Please be sure to get a rabbit savvy vet, as rabbits have special circumstances when undergoing surgery. If you don’t have one already, check the website for the list of rabbit vets, that’s how I found one in my area and they are the greatest! Good luck!!

  Usagi just started humping about two weeks ago so I decided to look into it because he does it constantly now. He hasn’t done much marking, at least yet, but I figure if I’m going to get him neutered I might as well do it earlier than later. I’m nervous to have it done, but I have taken him to the vet I’m going to have neuter him before, and they were great so I’m sure he will be fine!

  But yes– it is annoying when they start– it never goes away! Ahh,,, lol
