So tonight is the night I think, they’ve been in the kitchen for about 9 hours without a tiff. The kitchen is a neutral area. I’m trying to decide if  I should leave them in there tonight, but I’m across the house and worry that I wont hear them if they do scuffle, or if I should move them to the master bathroom, which Sam kinda owns, but doesn’t ever hang out it or anything. She poops in there occasionally. But I could always scrub it down first. Any ideas?

Do you have a baby monitor? Or maybe a sleeping bag/cot? I think it would be better over night for the first time in their neutral area, then let them hang out in the bathroom all day another day to make sure there is no fighting over it.

I think I would continue keeping them together only when you can supervise them all day for a few more days before you leave them alone. Put them together first thing in the morning/afternoon/evening when you are home and then put them back in their own spaces. I think as long as you can do that for the next 3 or 4 days without incident then you can leave them “alone” at night.

Well this is like, the 4th or 5th day they’ve been together, its just the longest by far. Usually its 2-4 hours a day. Today I added another litterbox next to the first one since Lady is so big hah. And they’ve got hay in there, and eat together out of it.

I think you are well on your way, but I would still err on the side of caution for a few more days just as you have done today.

Yes I would sleep next to them the first night.

I would sleep on the couch and try to be home all day for the first couple of days. I think I slept on the couch for a week and I was home every day (but then I was unemployed then, so I was home every day). I found that new arguments can erupt at times they’re super active. Mine started to scuffle at 5am and obviously I’d never worked on bonding them at that time before, so it was good to be around to break them up.
