My dad has his daily routine with Chacha. she waits outside his door each morning for pellets and a small piece of dried strawberry. This morning, she was not in sight. He went to look for her, and found her in the sunroom, eating cat grass seeds off the floor  I left the seeds in a packet on a sunroom chair inside of a wilow basket as I have started to grow wheat grass recently!!

my dad said that she ate her pellets, but didn’t touch the remainder of her vegetables from last night and didn’t touch the pile of hay I left  .. I started putting hay in front of her, and she is eating it.

I inspected her belly and it seems fine.

She’ll probably be fine, they do put seeds in some rabbit foods after all and while they aren’t good for them, they do digest seeds OK most the time. Just keep an eye on her and keep her eating hay. Powder has stolen a millet stick before, had to chase him down to get it back but he took a big bite out of it. Those buns love seeds if they can reach them. :s

Agreed with Stickerbunny – I would worry too much…seeds aren’t the healthiest for buns as a regular part of their diet but I doubt they’re dangerous in small quantities either. As long as her intake/output is fine then she should be ok .

                    LOL! A Cha-a-pet! xD

The princess is happily eating her hay and attempting to sleep (the slaves are busy around the apartment). So far, so good.

When I give wheat grass to my buns invariably there will be a few that have the hulls still stuck to the ends. I would guess you’d mostly worry if your bunny has a slower gut than most or goes into stasis easily. How many do you think she ate?

Hey at least it wasn’t watermelon seeds, right?

So by now she should have passed the test, pun intended, and if her poos are fairly normal, and she has gone by now, then she should be completely fine. Just keep an eye on her output while being careful where you set down tasty treats, ie. seeds, socks, remote controls…the usual bunny food groups.

                            thank you all,

Chacha left a big pile of poop in my bedroom. I swear she does it in purpose… it was in such a neat little pile. I guess that is punishment for “HAHA, see what happens when you leave stuff out for me!?!”

I’m glad Chacha is ok… and feeling sassy enough to leave you a pile of… “presents.”
