Mochi is lying down (all stretched out, eyes half closed) but her ears and nose won’t stop moving. She’s acting different today because she’s very active as usual but today she’s just lying down and from time to time does the flop. What does this mean?

I’m not sure I really understand what you’re describing. Bunny noses only stop moving when they’re sleeping, so that sounds perfectly normal. Not sure about the ears.

Is she eating and pooping normally? If she is, it sounds like she’s just tired and wants to lay down. Flopping is a sign of a happy rabbit.

I think this is normal.. I think Pablo does this. Is this what you mean; He flops then he just lays there, and his nose & ears are wiggling? Thats normal. :o)

Sounds OK to me. If she sits in a meatloaf position with her eyes squinting half shut she might be in pain, but a flop is a happy, resting bunny. Nose and ears are just paying attention while resting. (In case she smells a carrot walk by or you call her to supper.)

If her nose is wiggling slowly your rabbit is probably calm and content. The faster the wiggling, the more alert or attentive the rabbit is to something in its environment. It sounds like your bunny is just relaxing for the most part, and taking in what’s going on around her. Bunnies also twitch their ears and nose and whiskers when dreaming.

Thank you so much, I am so worried that I stayed beside her cage and watched her the whole (almost) night haha. Now I can sleep peacefully
