I just got my bunny yesterday and he is great!! Hes already using his litter box to go pee just not poop yet hhah….this is his cage, and im just wondering, should i put like a big blanket in there so he can tear it up and get into it to sleep and stay warm even though hes in my room.  Also he cant get to the second level i have to make a ramp.  Any sugestions would be great for anything.Thankss

If he eats/chews the blanket, I would take it out. But otherwise blankets are ok. Although some don’t prefer them so you’ll have to see his preference. As for the cage, what is the second level made out of? From the picture it looks like he can jump up there he probably just needs time to get more comfortable. A lot of times, rabbits don’t need ramps unless they have a medical issue that makes it hard for them to jump.

On a side note, Welcome! We’d love for you to introduce yourself and your bun in the welcome section and of course we love pictures that we can ooo and ahhhh at

Ok thanks so much, and the second level is just a dog bed, he hasnt jumped up there yet. Hes just a baby so i think in time he will prob get up there on his own. And when he gets bigger i will prob expand his cage.

                Welcome to the forums!

How big is he right now? Actually I think that you could probably expand his cage right now..it looks a bit on the small side . From the picture though it looks like you used overlapping grids, so expanding the cage should be pretty easy. Also, making the cage a bit longer would give you more room to add a ramp so your bunny can access the second level more easily.

Like Frankieflash said, blankets can be fun for bunnies to dig at, but just make sure that he isn’t actually eating it. If you have some spare plain brown cardboard boxes lying around, you could try putting one in the cage too so he has something to chew on.
