Ever since I adopted her, she ALWAYS finish her pellets or vegetables within 15 minutes or so.

Then all the suddenly I noticed she didn’t finish her pellets (1/4 cup pellets). It isn’t even close to finish her pellets meal. She never leave her pellets in her dish full before. She used to finish eating them right away.

When I go in rabbit room, she hopped around and followed me. I gave her fresh hay, she ate it little bit. I gave her pellets, she ate some. I saw her drinking water, too.

Thanks god, she isn’t 100% litter trained, I can check her poops on floor. All of her poops are normal and round shape.

All of them are good signs that she was eating, pooping, and drinking.

What does it mean that she suddenly eat less pellets?

The first thing came up to my mind is going to vet but I cannot take her to vet today because it’s Sunday.

          It might be dental problems.

You’ll need a vet to use an otoscope to see if her molars are bothering her. There’s no way to tell by just looking in her mouth. How old is Belle?

Is she eating her normal amount of veggies?

Also, did you recently open a new bag of pellets? Sometimes a new bag tastes different (different crop of hay, usually) and fussy bunnies will refuse them.

Belle went to vet for health-check up like two months ago. Her molars are fine.

                She is 3 years old.

Yes, she ate all her vegetables last night.

No, I still use the same bag for awhile.

Belle isn’t one the fussy bunnies. She would eat anything that I gave her.

I think she just decided to change her mood of eating pellets.

She finished her pellets like few hours ago.

Stickers sometimes fills up on hay or veggies and doesn’t finish her plate of pellets (usually if I am late giving her dinner), as long as she finishes them before the day is over and she eats the rest of her food, I don’t worry too much about it. Normal health check up doesn’t usually give a really good look at teeth though, just a passing glance, if they suspect dental issues they do a more thorough check that is a bit more stressful on the bun, or x-rays. So if she has any other changes to her eating habits, might be a good idea to at least call up and discuss.

                      Just an update,

She ate all vegetable within 15 minutes. I think she is back to normal.

I think she might have headache or whatever female PMS mood that make her don’t feel like eating. (I don’t know women stuff because I’m a guy not girl)
That’s good to know she is back to normal.

Bunnies don’t get human female PMS or headaches.

Also, dental problems can emerge in less than 2 months, so just because you had a check up doesn’t mean a molar spur isn’t there now, so keep that in mind

I studied animal behavior. Yes, animals can have headaches just like humans.

Okay, I’ll keep in mind about dental problems.

Glad she’s back to normal. Bunnies can have off days sometimes.

                              Glad she’s better.

Just to let you know though, rabbits get pregnant by induced ovulation and do not have “PMS” which would require a menstrual cycle. Also PMS is more than just headaches…much more complicated than that :~)

                                Another update:

Belle is doing fine so far. So you don’t have to worry about my rabbit for now.

                                Thanks for helping me out.
