Hi there I have a heavy ceramic bowl as my females water bowl. Lately she is getting pissed in the morning because I am sleeping. So she moves her heavy ceramic bowl and all the water goes everywhere. I was thinking of buying her one of these bowls and wondered if that would solve my problem http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produ…atid=17259

          Actually, these would be better:

I have the metal ones for my bird and the water one gets yucky quick.  Plastic does too of course, but I like the plastic ones because they are sturdy – I’ve had a few for a very long time – of course after washing in the dishwasher, they aren’t crystal clear and pretty, but that’s okay with me.  You just want to make sure you don’t screw the back on too tight.  You want the five or six diameter….probably the six.

Do you have to unscrew the bowl everytime you change it?

You do have to unscrew the bowl each time you change it.

                I have this- http://www.petco.com/product/118224/Petmate-Blue-Replendish-Filtered-Pet-Auto-Watering-System.aspx?CoreCat=OnSiteSearch
Its awesome easy to get your hand/bottle brush inside and scrub, filters the water, and doesn’t get slimy. I’ve had it for a few months now.

We were told to get him one with a wide base and we did but it took up a lot of space and he would still pick it up and dump it so we got him one of these and it worked great so I got one for his pellets too http://www.petco.com/product/112528…l-Cup.aspx they were less then 5 dollars and work great…..I was super happy…

I use this – it twists to lock and unlock so you don’t have to unscrew it

Thanks everyone for the great tips. I bought a bowl that locks to the side of the cage and I love it it did solve my problem and she hasn’t tipped it over!

                        Great!

One of my pigs was flipping his bowl-he’s now trying to strong-arm the attached bowl I set him up with. I know what you were going through-what a little stinker!

Yay! Mind it you share where you got it at? I’m afraid I have the same problem.
