Has anyones rabbit ever had conjunctivitis and if so what where the symptoms.  My vet said thats what blossom has because she gets crust on one eye but she has no weeping or discharge.  Just the rim of her eye seems red and she gets a little bit of crust.  Does that sound like conjunctivitis to you?

It could be. At least a mild case of it. I haven’t had to deal with this. I did have to deal with Wooly’s third eyelid though. He somehow caught it with his claw while scratching and he torn it. It was swollen and sticking out. We had to get eye drops for it to reduce the swelling.

Well now that I put the ointment in her eye seems worse.  It was pink the rim now it looks real red and she keeps squinting it.  I hope she is not having a bad reaction to the oiintment.  Im telling you sometimes it better leaving thing alone.  The more I play with her eye the more red it gets.  I should just of left the crust there!!

I can’t do ointment. Drops always work better for me. You don’t have to touch anything. You just put your thumb right about their eye, pull up a little bit, and then drop the drop in there. They blink and the liquid gets spread around their eye.

Did you wash your hands before putting the ointment on? Sometimes putting something on the eye will cause them to rub it possibly worsening it. Wash your hands before the next application and watch closely after to discourage your bunny from rubbing too much after. Then I’d give the vet a call to report (not working, working, bothering your bunny etc) and see what they think you should do.

Stormy had this a few times. He would get a really red and weeping eye. The vet gave me drops. I forget what they were but it was a clear liquid to put in twice a day and it cleared up in a week or so.
