My female Bunny is almost 3 years old. I potty trained her when she was only 1 month old. When she was 5 months old I got her spayed.

It worked fine, she never peed in the wrong place, always inside her cage (which is open at all times, so she goes in, does her business, and comes out).

The past month, she started doing it on the couch at the room she stays in. Doesn’t matter what I do, she still uses the cage as “bathroom” but she wont stop peeing on the couch.

I try wasn’t the cover so it’d get rid of the pee smell, but didn’t work.

Any suggestions? Should I have hopes she will stop it?

        Tks!

She is most likely marking her territory since the couch probably smells strongly like humans. Is there any way to keep her from the couch?

*nod* Some bunnies start marking after a while if they think it needs to smell more like them. Put something up there that will be noisy and keep her off the couch? Some suggest foil, but I don’t like the idea of bunny nibbling on that, I use really LOUD crinkly paper. Or you could use NIC grids, or boxes to block it off. Also, sometimes buns can start to lose litter habits if they get a UTI, so keep an eye out for any signs of her straining to pee, etc.

Yep, it’s marking. Have you cleaned it really well with vinegar and/or an enzyme cleaner? The smell is really in there and the only way to really get it out is to clean it really well with the right cleaner. Be warned that she might still pee on there even after it’s clean because now it’s a habit.
