Sorry to hear that, Chacha. Spooky bunny! Looks like a still from one of those ghost shows! Olivia did something funny and bratty this morning. I opened her door for run-time and usually she just runs straight into the living room but today she headed over to Stormy's condo. He was eating a big piece of lettuce and he ran over to the bars at the back of the condo to see her and she stole the lettuce right out of his mouth! He looked like "What? Did she really just do that?" Poor Storm, but it was funny. |

ChaCha, I'm so sorry to hear that :-( I hope they caught it early enough that they can get it before it spreads.
Sticker, I think it's really different in different kids. When I had it I was barely sick. This little girl said she felt perfectly fine - she was just hanging out and drawing and didn't act sick at all (though of course she might feel worse as it goes on). It's definitely worse the older you get - one girl in my group had it at 16 and said she was crying and in so much pain. I'm luck I had a really mild case.
bunnyfriend, have you had the vaccine? Once you're not a kid anymore it can be really bad if you get it, but the vaccine is really effective. |

Then you're good to go! They didn't have the vaccine out when I was a kid so we all got sick, but I guess it's pretty common to get vaccinated now. |

I just got back from Worksource. Yesterday, the Health Care Program coordinator sent me a flyer. The flyer was information on how low income, OR TANIF people can get their Medical Assisting program 100% covered. The program is a year and a quarter. Today, I met with one of the advisors involved in the program. She went over my income and she said I qualify. I have to fill out paperwork about myself, my financial situation, etc. I will turn it in next Thursday, I HOPE to get it approved by the supervisor, and after that, I will be on the road to an education! The caseworker said she will fight for my case to be approved. The caseworker was just straight forward when I first met her. she said that she gets so many cases approved, but after a week, students will just quit. She comes from Hondarus, where opportunity is bare, and she does not understand how some can just quit... But, I told her, I am determined to start this program, and better myself. She said if I am approved, start and finish the program, I can always come back within 5 years.. for further education. The program will pay for additional education - LPN, RN. I am unsure of what I want to do, that is why I am taking the MA program first. I just want to see what is out there in the field first. There are a lot of options out there for me to pursue. |

Yay! That's pretty awesome. So that's full tuition coverage? It's pretty great that they'll pay for continuing education if you want to go back as a nurse or PA or something. |

^Yes! It is full coverage! Tuition, books, and uniforms! If I am accepted, the first quarter is based online, and starting the second quarter, I will go onto campus 2 times a week for clinical classes! the schoool is a community college. Some of the customers that come through my line have done the program, or know about it. They say the community college has a great program. That is good to hear.
My goal is to blow off the supervisors socks! My dad said to write the paperwork answers on another sheet of paper first... to make sure that I am happy with all of the answers I give!
I'm crossing my fingers I get approved! Maybe I should cross Chacha's paws too.. haha |

Hey Chacha, congrats! Your dad's advice is really good, too. I get so nervous about filling out forms, I always make mistakes. I like to check my spelling too. I am sooo happy that it is Friday, not that that means I get to slow down by any means, but I get to do everything on my time, rather than the times I am supposed to be somewhere. I can come and go into the studios whenever I please. I am so exhausted from this week. Tonight, I plan to rest. My brother, boyfriend and some friends are all going out to dinner. I am getting the sweetest white wine they have and I am going to enjoy this night. :-) Hope you all get to do the same! |
