Posted By FrankieFlash on 02/06/2012 09:35 PM Oh my gosh you guys I totally jinxed it. He's been circling us still and its super cute still but if we let him circle for a while we notice a strong BAD odor. We always get up right away and check for pee or any markings but theres nothing but an odor in the air. So he's spraying right? Is it possible for them to spray without liquid?
When he's circling you and you start to smell that skunky smell, it doesn't mean he has sprayed-- you won't miss it when he does it in front of you. The stinky smell is just a scent he is putting out from his anal glands. It can just be a lovely scent that is the air from that not -- not liquid.
In his world, this is a reaction to his more constant circling behavior -- which is sort of like a mating ritual, and in the bunny world, that scent will help him lure in a mate.
