so i just gave my rabbit some veggies like i do every afternoon. and a few minutes after he has eaten his veggies i get down on the ground and groom him with my nose (he seems to like that more than me just petting him with my hand) and every time i reached the end of his head and stopped to pet him again he made this little noise that sounded like he was eating something? but he wasnt (he had finished eating his veggies a few mins ago and was doing some other things when i got down on the ground).

was he “tooth purring” or grinding his teeth? he sounded like he was munching on some pellets or something.

purr. tooth grinding is very distinctive and usually accompanied by a hunched in pain posture.
