Since the day we brought our Zee home (she was 4 weeks old), shes always gone in the little box.  Its like she KNEW.  After a couple of months we realized she would back up too far when peeing and completely miss and pee would get ouside her box in the back.  We rigged up a grocery bag and cut it down the middle and line the box with it and tie the handles against the corner of the cage.  Its worked for YEARS.  Shes 3 this year and now we’ve noticed that she just blantantly just DOESN”T go in her box most of the time.  We keep her hay in there and sure she pulls it out all the time, but usually when we clean out her box every other week its mostly just piles of hay.  Her poop usually stays in the box too, unless its flings out when she jumps out.  Its just weird and recently started happening.  Nothing has changed, her routines are the same with play time and food and hay.  Shes the happiest she could every be.  But she’ll just pee outside her box.

        Does anyone have any suggestions?

Her box is the in the corner of the cage with lining that goes from the box to the entire corner of the cage wire at least one foot above her box.

Is she spayed? Also, have you seen signs of her straining to pee? I would think UTI if it’s so sudden like this

She IS spayed, has been for a long time.  She isn’t straining.  In fact, shes looked me right in the eye one time and did it on the carpet.  Naughty naughty.
