I used my blender for the first time today to make a smoothie and Dexter does not approve! He has been thumping for the last 25 mintues and I don’t know what to do for him   This is not going to be fun when I have to use the blender a few times a week lol

Did you offer a treat? Maybe he’ll decide that coming to get a craisin is better than thumping for half an hour.

Hopefully he will get used to it. Try the treat too – of course there is the possibility he’ll take the treat and continue thumping LOL.

Stickers does that about the vacuum cleaner! lol He’ll get used to it, well, more used to it… but Stickers still thumps at the vacuum cleaner for being loud and then gives me bunny butt for about an hour afterwards for disturbing her. o.O

How dare you make noise when his Majesty hasn’t allowed you to!

Sometimes if I’m going to be doing something that the bunnies are likely to thump about, I’ll “prepare” them and “talk them through it” and console them afterwards – just like one would with a human kid. Sometimes it works! Sometimes it doesn’t – but it’s worth a shot!

Example:  “OK, now Mommy’s going to run this noisy thing for just a minute, Mommy won’t let it hurt you . . . I know it’s annoying, bear with me . . . OKAY! ALL DONE! Awww, dat’s my brave widdle troopers! Wanna treat?”  etc.

Stickerbunny, I’ll send Otto to you – he ran over and nose bumped the vacuum multiple times out of curiosity (while it was moving even). He’ll teach her not to be afraid 😛

LOL, I will try the treat thing tomorrow morning and see if it works. I went in there to calm him and give him nose rubs and he stopped for that, but then took a few steps back and started thumping again
