Ok so I know we don’t wash the bunnies but how about the inside of the ears.  Blossoms ears look dirty inside.  Not crusty just like dirty like your ears get on the upper part of your inner ear if you dont clean them.  Its black but again not crusty just dirty.  Again now way down below just the top inside of her ears.  Can you clean their ears?

It shouldn’t be dirty, does she not clean them? I’ve never had to clean my bunnies ears.

You probably accidentally hit a search mode when you typed ear and it got highlighted, but it stopped doing it. Not to worry.

bunnies clean the inside of their ears themselves, by pulling them down with their paws and kind of licking their paws and wiping themselves with them.

I would not go near the ear canal, but if it’s the inside tips, you can gently wipe it with a q-tip or soft tissue to see if it comes off. It could be a change of skin color that looks like dirt.

I think you might be right about a change of skin color. I tried to wash it with a wet cloth and it didnt come off. Her color is changing a little. She is still a baby. Thanks

I think Pam is right. I see that her ears are darker so it just may be the skin changing color as well. And I would agree as well about her method for cleaning the ears.

I recommend never using anything to clean the inside of a bunnies’ ears unless your vet advises. Using cleaners moistens the ears which can become a host to bacteria. Never use water! If you see dirt in the ear canal cover your finger with a kleenex or cotton pad and gently swab out the area.
