My Pepper princess has been having little sneezy moments, I’ve been monitoring them and there is no scabbing or runny nose (just a little redness) and within an hour of the Southern sea breeze coming in the sneezing stops and the redness goes away. Most days she is fine but after a morning of Easterly or North easterly winds she is sneezing again.

I’m in Western Australia and the north easterly winds come straight off the Gibson desert.

We only get these winds in Summer so it’s also seasonal. Is there anything I can do (I also suffer from allergies due to the same winds) or as it is only fleeting is it best to leave it alone. The house gets really dusty and Pepper likes to stick her nose into everything. She practically sticks her whole head in the playpen water crock and comes up looking like a drowned rat.

It’s probably a reaction to the dust going up her nose

But, my Smudge is allergic to timothy hay. So it’s possible.

Being high Summer down here we are not long out of wild flower season and there are native grasses drying and going to seed every where. Our deserts tend to be full of bushy prostate summer flowering shrubs. Plus the wind travels through the wheat belt on its way through then there’s the huge chicken hatchery and pellet plant about 1km North East of my house.
