I have a question Bubbles and Broinco never play when I let them out to play in my living room they just sit in there litter box unless I have something they can play with involving food like a stocking filled with apple or a kong stuffed with a treat.  I have only seen Bronco do one binky this year. What is this all about?

What time are you letting them out?

Have you tried letting them out somehwere else? If you do, I suggest rabbit proofing the new room. Not only will the new room make them curious, they will probably play if you add some new toys as well. Animals, like any other living things, get bored of the same old things.

So, try a new room or new toys. Hope it helps!

Have they seen a vet lately? If they are a bit overweight, that could explain their sluggishness.
S&LH makes a good point too, bunnies are mostly active in the early morning and evening hours. They may just be saying “what is wrong with you! it’s bed time!!”

Time of day makes a big difference. The cage can be open, but if it’s between 10am and 5pm there’s small chance that mine will bother coming out.

Also, how old are they? Many rabbits, especially as they get older, are just lazy. Keeping them interacting with toys and things is a great idea, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just sit around when you’re not actively engaging them – they just have different energy levels based on personality.

I let them play around 8:00pm. Bubbes and Bronco were seen by a vet about five months ago. As for a new room all of the rooms I can use for my bunnies are being used for diffrent bunnies.
