bunny savvy vet….theyll take a sample and look at it under the microscope….

but only 5x a day or something like that he might be grooming himself….my Bud will do that
Anyway, if your bun isnt constantly itching, he is probably okay…

With ear mites they tend to shake their head alot….
if it was ringworm or mange you could see a noticable change in their fur

                  exaggerated

5 probably isn’t that bad, is there hair loss or anything?

It could just be that she has dry skin due to the change in temperature. 5 times a day is not really a lot. Lolli grooming routine seems to involve a good ear scratching and she grooms herself a lot. lol However, if you’re in doubt, there’s nothing with getting your bun checked out by a vet.

You could try running a humidifier where your bunny is. I used to do that for mine. Well, for all 3 of us. LOL I’d run it at night. I don’t know how much it helped, but it seemed to.

blossom itches too.  I have never found anything on her.  I dont think its mites because she doesnt shake her head.  She tends to do it after I pat her.  She is probably trying to get my smell off her LOL!!

there are otehr kinds of mites besides ear mites. there are fur mites, which wouldn’t cause the head shaking.

VERY exaggerated!! (BTW- Thx for teaching me how to spell that correctly!!!   lol!)

Nope. No hair loss. He barely ever sheds. No bad skin or anything

Only once I saw 2 or 3 little white specks on his black fur… I checked them out, and last time he was at the vet he had a little pacth of dried skin. It is fine now. But I figure the white things are crusties. (I hope!!) But I scanned every part of fur for parasites- none. An today there werent white things! ( I know, I freak out about EVVERYTHING!! I know!! LOL)

5 itches a day sounds completely normal.
